We Could Be Fighting Dragons Right Now
If a Christian found a way to see into gods plan it would mean the following: God is true (we kinda know that the whole eternal alchemy is just a lot of nonsense/bad metaphores for what asura dont know and dont want to admit that they dont know, but scarlet did see some kind of future in it), that the machine would tap into powers way beyond our understanding (and asura always test first, so better test on a smart veggie than on a person as smart as a veggie what they ususally test on/dumb asura are the test rats for most experiments and the knowledge would be wasted on them) AND Scarlet is mortal, something very important to understand, if she did have the knowledge that was the actual Eternal Alchemy despite all odds, she can just be assassinated.
The machine didn’t allow one to see the Eternal Alchemy (despite Andele’s statement, it’s more than just “what we don’t know” but rather “how the universe functions” – it’s not a physical thing so it technically cannot be seen). Rather, he made a placebo machine. The machine, per an interview with TowerTalk and Scott/Angel, was just a sensory deprivation device.
That means Ceara went batkitten crazy from being unable to feel, see, hear, smell, or taste anything. And she hallucinated (hence placebo). What she saw happened only in her head and nowhere else. If she were to ask the Pale Tree what she meant in Scarlet’s vision, the Pale Tree would say “when did that ever happen?” because it didn’t happen.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
I could be fighting dragons but shatter hasn’t been on his timer since the patch.

Doesn’t change the fact that he let a crazed Inquest-affiliated Syvari use it first.

Right because its not like the eternal alchemy is paired with all other religions of tyria and its not like asura only say that something belongs to the eternal alchemy if they dont understand it. Also all the interview only said that the impact that the machine had on her might not have been our reality, you twisting it to your mental gymnastics logic (just as zhaitan, the Elder dragon of the undead, not being a undead stitched from different dragons, but just looking like it, being intentionally very inefficient in design, not because of it being a physical limitation in keeping the corpses in check, but because he thinks it looks cool or it being his fashion statement or whatever).
