What could possibly take down a giant ship

Well, if Scarlet’s body blew into pieces, and then was used by Zephyrites to build their wooden ships…
The sanctum can easily be taken out.
It is NOT a combat built airship.
Some sort of ground to air missile I’m sure. Since Scarlet was supposed to be such an evil genius and saw the Eternal Alchemy and all, I’m sure something like that would be easy for her to invent and then hand out to allies. Or sell to the highest bidder.
Fire. The Sanctum is made of wood, so any incendiary device could take it out very quickly.
Examining the video again, we can clearly see that some sort of an “explosion” was detonated somewhere within the ship itself. Combine this with Taimi’s earlier observation that there was some sort of strange power reading coming from the baskets that were placed nearby, we can deduce that the explosion was hidden inside these very same baskets. Since these baskets in question were rather small, it would mean the source of this explosion would have to be “miniature” in size in order to fit, while still being extremely volatile to do the damage it did. Then we must consider that the ship that was destroyed, the Zephyerite airship, was made almost entirely out of bamboo….
So, we can agree that whatever it was had to be extremely small in order for it to remain hidden – while also being extremely powerful to ensure maximum damage to the bamboo structure of the airship. With these clues together, I believe the answer becomes painfully obvious.
The enemy is employing the use of Combustible Mini Pandas.
Marjory eat your heart out at my deductions!
I believe the zephyr ships cruize way above any existing combat ships in the world, so I doubt that is was hit by any ballistic fire. Another thing we should note is that golem powering magic seems to react poorly will the Zephyrite cargo. More importantly is that the Zephyrites know this. They don’t allow Taimis golem onto the sanctum at all. They know their cargo doesn’t react well to the presence of golem magic. The detonation of the cargo could have something to do with the presence of Inquest golems and magic in the Maguuma area.
But, still, they fly so very high, so I don’t see how Inquest presence on the ground could have affected them. I think they Zephyrites flew into some sort of unexpected magical interference, and it didn’t go so well with their volatile cargo. Considering the presence of an elder dragon, I wouldn’t be surprised about the interference.
Could be sabotage. We know the inquest have volatile, portable explosives that would do the trick. With all the comings and goings with the Bazaar, it wouldn’t be too difficult for an Inquest saboteur to place such a device in with the Sanctum’s cargo.
bone minions explode so…….
A dragon. A dragon champion. A large dragon minion. A dragon minion. A small dragon minion. A risen thrall could probably do it.
They mainly don’t allow Scruffy on the ship because he’s so heavy (I don’t see him crossing the loading bridge without shattering it), and because his power source MIGHT interfere. Not for sure, but it may.
Im hoping for some really epic scene of an Elder Dragon fighting a giant wooden flying ship, even though the Dragon doesnt stand much of a chance based on the result of the last encounter. Still, there is some footage of the Zhephyr ship got taken down so I guess it gonna be 4- 5 Dragons gang up together to fight the mighty baloon so we will have something really epic
A floating iceberg?

Release the Kraken!
I think the explosions may be a case of “crossing the streams”. Perhaps the strange something in the cargo that Taimi noticed may have reacted poorly to the magic in the area over Maguuma. Similar to what happened to the thaumanova reactor.

I thought they made toilet paper out of her remains.

“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”

You forgot about disgruntled postal worker and a pyromaniac Zepherite.

I’m thinking Inquest too. They’re very into dragon power, and with the Zephyrites harnessing Glint’s leftover magic …

It’s made of sticks and rope. Not sure I’d want to be on one in a storm.

We do see large Devourers in the trailer and Charr were using Siege Devourers in Guild Wars 1.
But I’m kind of thinking it’s the Inquest. What other race is small but clever enough to hide in boxes? … I refuse to accept the Quagans as a serious species, they can go flip off.
A giant cannon maybe?
Oh i dunno.. Explosives, maybe?

Just a bit of fun trivia, that iceberg picture isn’t real. Its actually made up of 4 different pictures. The top/bottom/sky/underwater all all different pictures.
I’m guessing a gassy baby dragon and a idiot stupid enough to bring a torch near it.
Yep, apparently this is the actual one that sunk Titanic.

Well placed explosives in the storage holds would do the job very nicely. Who knows what the Inquest has cooked up.
