Too many times I’m finding myself killing multiples of mobs in the same area for a relentless amount of time. I couldn’t move in Nolan’s Homestead area cause everytime I’d killed one or two White Mantle Mobs they were respawning and attacking immediately. I had killed close to 20 and yet it’s nothing but a constant flow of veterans and other mobs. It’s not the toon, as I can down the White Mantle fairly fast it’s the quantity and that they are constantly spawning on that point.

Seriously at if you want people to enjoy the living story don’t overwhelm them with an endless flow of mobs that’s nigh impossible for one character to down or move away from. Repair bills are not an incentive to keep playing, yes moving to a waypoint because you couldn’t kill the constant flow of mobs is a repair bill!

I find it a little tiresome too, but in the newest map, the spawn rate sems slower in same areas at least and (a few) people have complained that there aren’t enough mobs! I think we just ave to accept some variation. For example, Malchor’s leap isn’t as crowded with mobs as the Straits of Devastation. —At least it seems so to me.

New map isn’t bad with exception if you don’t have chill the destroyers are way powerful and and always buffed. Every toon I’ve equipped with Ice sigil has suddenly been able to kill the destroyers with exception of the fonts with Champion solo.

I took a break from the game and just coming back for LS and am wondering about what you said about chilling destroyers. What does that do? :O
I just happened to decide to play the new episode as my necro so my interest is piqued.

It has to do with the idea that different dragon aics are mixing, iirc. So the mobs in Ember Bay and the same type in Mons Draconis are weakened by chill, I can’t recall if the frosty ones up in Bitterfrost frontier are weakened by burning.

The destroyer mobs gain buffs and stack conditions on you quick. Like Eirian said they are the same as in Ember Bay and weakened by frost. With a Reaper and lots of chill explosions I found them a lot easier to down. Can even handle the champ around the fonts with assistance from one other player. For my other toons that normally didn’t pack frost it was crazy fast how quick some mobs would have +10 might and could dot you up with bleeding, immobility, vulnerability, and burning. I had a hunter get owned fast once I threw ice runes and paired it with Bloodlust on his weapons the periodic chill greatly reduced their buffing and dots. For my necro I go zerk gear, Blood Magic for life steal and healing, Death Magic MM buffs with exception of condition to toughness trait, and Reaper taking the center traits through the tree, and polish it off with Ice and bloodlust runes on axe/dagger, and a greatsword with Hydromancy and Bloodlust. I’m mostly in exotic gear Strength runes (though I may go back to Mad King the minion knockdown and bat swarm makes short work of groups). Even have downed the Destroyer Lieutenants with a handful of players.
