What name would YOU give to a GW2 expansion.
So, you have to come up with a concept for a GW2 expansion, purely for funnies.
You have to give details in bullet points, keep them short and concise, e.g.
Guild Wars 2 Expansion Name Here
- Feature Included
- Level Cap/Skill Additions
- New Race
- New Region
- New PvP/PvE additions/game types.
- Anything else you can think of.My Idea:
Guild Wars 2: Awakening
- Continue where the Living Story ended, and face Mordremoth in the new Maguma Wastes and Magus Falls regions.
- Level Cap increased to 100.
- New alternative progression system: Skill Unlocks.
- New Dungeon, Bloodstone Fen.
- Introducing Raid Zones for large scale PVE.
- New WvW feature, Siege Towers.
- New PvP battlegrounds and game type: Gauntlet.
- No new races.
- No new classes.
Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Maguuma
- New personal story, starting where Living World Season 1 ended, with a flash back cutscene to explain what happened inbetween personal stories. In this personal story, we discover Malyck’s Tree, fight Mordremoth, and stop a dark plot meant to turn the sylvari against one another.
- Level cap stays at 80. Forever.
- Four or more new dungeons telling the story of Destiny’s Edge as they help the player and the Pact make their way to Mordremoth.
- New race: Tengu. The tengu begin to feel threatened by an angry menace from below, and offer to help the five races of Tyria fight Mordremoth, if in return, they help the Tengu fight Primordus. An uneasy alliance ensues.
- No new professions… yet.
- 7 new zones, 4 in the maguuma wastes and 3 in magus falls.
- 5 new world bosses: The Bloodwurm, A Champion of Mordremoth (insert whatever name for that champion you have here), Shadow of the Jungle (an ancient spirit of shadow that has lurked in the jungle for millennia), Thorn Colossus (a twisted misshapen form of jungle matter. E.g. thorns, vines, needles, etc.), and finally, Prophet of Sorrows (a necromancer who has been going around and killing the only remaining wildlife in the jungle, through the use of undead magic.)
- New PvP gametypes: Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
- Bar Brawl activity finally implemented, along with Mina’s Target Shooting, both of which are currently unplayable in Divinity’s Reach.
- 2 more zones in additional to the traditional 7, both of which act like instanced arenas where groups can go in and take out some of the toughest monsters in the Maguuma. More than one group can enter a given instance, and they can compete to see who gets the most bosses. The one who does is given an extra reward.
Guild Wars 2: Into the North
- New Region: Explore north past Frostgorge Sound into territory soundly claimed by Jormag in an attempt to gather more current information for the Pact. Join intrepid exploring teams dispatched to the Far Shiverpeaks to blaze a trail seeking something which could help fight the dragon of ice and storms.
- New PvP: “The Mistborn Arenas”. A new place in the Mists has become visualized, where groups fight for the entertainment of observers. Each arena is one group against another, with some quirks and tricks to the arenas, as well as slightly different goals. Some arenas, the goal is to ensure all the opponent’s team is dead at the same time. Some other arenas, it’s to control a central point uncontested for a certain amount of time.
- New Feature: Wandering Merchants. A few brave souls wander Tyria peddling wares from one race to people from another, telling tales of wonders and terrors out in the world to entertain their audiences. But they also bring with them unusual goods, which are for sale to those who can pay. Wandering Merchant events can be found throughout Tyria in the zones, and for rescuing them they will turn up the next day in your Home Instance. You may only have one of each races’ Wandering Merchants at a time, and they will leave after that day is over. They will sell interesting new looks to add to your Wardrobe, or tasty exotic food and drink from their homelands.
- New Titles: Pact Trailblazer. For exploring the frozen north and setting up base camps, you will be able to boast of these accomplishments to other adventurers. Each area has a base camp to establish over a chain of Dynamic Events, and then keep secure long enough to become mostly safe. Doing this will earn you the right to wear the Trailblazer title for that area. If you succeed in gaining all the titles, you may be recognized as a Master Trailblazer. (Note: Titles not guaranteed to impress NPCs, Mist Warriors from other servers, or asura.)
- New World Bosses: Trespassing into Jormag’s frozen realm is fraught with danger, and some dangers are not the type to take lightly. The Voice of Jormag is but one terror which can strike any of the base camps which have been established, in an attempt to break the Pact’s spirit.
And other, older things still stir in dark places and have no connection to Jormag. Beware the vaettir who haunt lost steadings Jormag or his followers have no interest in. Or perhaps one should worry about old tales of ice wurms greater than Issormir which hunted the snowy cliffs, able to give norn pause before tackling them.
Guild Wars 2: Nightmare Falls
-New regions: Maguuma Wastes, Magus Falls and an underground section.
-Level cap increase
-New Dungeons
-New traits, skills
-Tengu race becomes available with new class (Wind Hunter)
-Old personal story mission rebalanced
-New PvP modes!
-New personal story missions which begin 5 months after Mordremoth’s awakening. Husks started appearing all over Tyria, the Nightmare Court withdrawed into the Jungle and the Pale Tree has fallen into a deep sleep. The Sylvari begin seeing visions and some are driven insane by the things they see, some fall into a sleeping state. Meanwhile new Sylvari begin emerging from the sleeping Pale Tree which are ‘different’ from their brethren.
-New activity: Taimi’s Super Extraordinary Arena Challenge: Battle Taimi’s new creation: Fist-o The Mega Golem! (lvl 80 challenge)
New World Bosses: Mordremoth’s champion, a giant Minotaur-Griffon hybrid creature, and The Eldest Oakheart.

-THE PROPHET
The prophet Doc Holiday arrives, no-one knows exactly where or when. Disturbing reports from different located outposts about cult-like gatherings, even some of the heroes from Lions Arch are suspected to participate.
The Prophet are almost impossible to hunt hown, he (we believe its a he) arent easily spotted, as he often walks amongs others in same clothes as everybody else. Though some claim to know that he usually wears cleric armor.
It is indeed possible that this isnt just one person, it could be some sort of Secret order, but so far most reports suggest it is just this Doc Holiday.
Excactly what is going on or what purpose is still unknown, but some claim that they are training in healing and taunting eachother.
As noone understands the reasoning behind such behaviour, it is strongly recommended you report anything suspicious, and preferably stay away from him or any of his followers.
He is known to say “they call me Trinity”, it is so far the only way to recognise him.
it is a joke, sorry
Guild Wars 2: Winds of change (could be also called Echoes of primordius as it likely will deal directly with the destroyers)
- New region – Dominion of winds
- New race – Tengu
- New trait, skill (6 new novice 6 new majster and 6 new grandmaster trait per profession, 6 new utility and 1 new elite per profession)
- New class – Dervish (Based from the Air mysticism tree)
- New weapon – Polearms (Scythe, Halberds, Cavalry spear)
- New weapon – Battle axe (Two handed axe)
- New dungeon – Depths of destruction

Guild Wars 2: The darkness that is living story has finally passed
But that may be too long.
It hasn’t passed, we’re just on a rotation away from it for the moment. It will return . . . though the big red blemish which was Scarlet Briar is gone.
GW2: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.
Filled with more features that should have been in the original game.
GW2: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.
GW2: The Charr, Scarlet and the Mystic Toilet.
If they did an Expansion for Mordremoth i’d go with “The Nightmare Awakens” or “Nightmare Rising” then a Cantha would be “The Unknown Empire” or “The Southern Seas” with Leviathan otherwise known as bubbles being one of the Main antagonists or maybe even another dragon we’ve heard nothing about cause its in Cantha

I never said it was.
I was asked to give a name to an expansion just in case there would be one, and if an expansion was to come (and there isn’t unfortunately), there would be no LS anymore.
Funny thing was I actually once told there would be no expansion in 2014, and my comment got infracted for posting “misleading information”.
oh rly anet? Well bring on the expansion then. By all means show me how misleading my information was.

seeing how guild wars doesnt actually HAVE any battles between guilds, the title should be “chronicles of Tyria” and release should be “Secrets of Orr”

Aware of the universe’s cycles, the astralist is a formidable presence, manipulating the rate at which their enemies die and the rate at which they live. The tengu, proficient at this art, have agreed to teach other races this magic.
- New Region: Explore the Empire of the Dragon, from the ruins of Shing Jea Island to the island-city of Kaineng. Tread the song-ridden forests of Echovald, where the Emperor’s forces wearily watch the Jade Sea’s churning waters.

Guild Wars 2: About Freakin Time!
Seriously though, I suppose it depends on the theme/setting/details of the expansion. There are already some good ideas in this thread. =]
Guild Wars 2: LOL, NOPE
-Srsly, an expansion?
-Wth is that?
-Living Story continues
[SALT]Natchniony – Necromancer, EU.
Streams: http://www.twitch.tv/rym144
Regardless of the other features, Guild Halls would be a necessity for me. They were pretty swell if you had a guild that actively used them for events, etc. I can’t really think of enough to write it up like OP has it, but perhaps something Canthan / Elonian brought into it – I don’t really know whether an expansion would be best though, perhaps just the Living Story / Game Updates could offer this themselves.
Guild Wars 2: Fun at the Funeral with Mordremoth, Bubbles, and Jennah’s Cat.
-DRAGONS
-Jennah’s Cat, Shadow, is in fact the mastermind behind Scarlet, and has held Jennah hostage in her en-suite bathroom, and is trying to conjure Mordremoth. Tyrians are now forced to stop this imminent threat or face extinction
-Bubbles is still out to lunch
-Kralkatorrik, Primordus and Jormag are still deciding how Zhaitan’s bank account should be split between them.
-Level 500 Chef update: Use Sylvari as spices to make OP new consumables!
-Scarlet had house insurance on The Breechmaker, Ellen Kiel needs the player character’s help to pay off the debt.
-Mordremoth wakes up and still has a hangover from the last elder dragon awakening.
(edited by Argon.1563)
Guild Wars 2: Foliage Wars
In service to Mordremoth a guild of Nightmare Courtiers has formed. Join now in the epic battle against Destiny’s Hedge.
In all seriousness the new megaserver system gives me hope that not only will new maps be added, but that they will be a good idea.
Guild Wars 2: Too Little, Too Late
“Content that is not temporary”
Guild Wars 2: Terror of Maguuma
-Mordremoth’s awakening changed Maguuma forever. It is up to you, and your allies to heal the dying land, and prevent the dragon’s corruption to spread.
-Level Cap raised to 90.
-3 brand new zones with new Dynamic Events, Tasks, Vistas, Jumping Puzzles and Points of Interests to explore.
-Personal Story continues.
-Political Turmoil: 4 different political parties form immediately after the Dragon’s awakening, each with different policies, and with different ideas on how to help the citizens of Tyria in these troubling times. It is up to you to choose your allegiance.
-Notoriety: Your political choices determine your reputation among Tyrians, and give you an opportunity to gain new titles (“The Idealist”, “The Radical”, “The Tyrant” etc.).
-Depending on your Notoriety, NPCs will greet you differently. No matter what, you won’t be able to please everybody, and there will always be a region that will despise your methods.
-Trahearne’s quest continues. However, his personality has changed ever since he started researching ancient artifacts which he thought were they key to Mordremoth’s defeat. Spoiler Alert: We’d watch his slow but very noticeable descend into madness. With each update, his decisions would become more and more morally questionable. By the end of the expansion, his madness would drive him to become Mordremoth’s champion, and we’d have the opportunity to kill him off.
-New WvW map: Maguuma Wastes
-New PvP map: Maguuma Labirynth
-New Dungeons (with new Armor Sets): Aurora Glade, Bloodstone Fen, Maguuma Wilds

Guild Wars 2: Manifesto
Contains:
Game from Manifesto trailer.
Guild Wars 2: Too Little, Too Late
Hey that’s a song from my beloved bostonian JoJo. <3
GW2 The Quest For More Money
GuildWars2 : Onwards
Story
- Crystal Desert region, Kralkatorik & the Undead Resistance
- 12 New zones in Crystal desert region.
- 3 New Dungeons.
- Personal main story to pick up after death of Zaithan
- Living story, to focus on Maguma Jungle & Mordemoth, During the year we will explore the regions of the Maguma Jungle, with 1, 2 area or new Dungeon, in the Maguma Region, every 2 months.
- New Personal side stories introduced, branching off of the 3 orders.
- New Fractal Fractures, the content of the Fractal dungeon is ‘re-used’ to introduce ‘Fractal Fractures’ spawning through out Tyria, the fractal dungeons now randomly turn up where they make the most sense (design or historic wise).
- New Renown Heart reset. Renown Hearts (inside) will reset every month, and heart completion is added to daily and monthly completion.
Characters
- Level cap remains 80
- Energy reintroduced for balance purpose.
- New Choice Weapon skills added to slots #2 & #4 (choice for 3 skills on each total, also see specialisations.)
- New ‘existing weapons’ for various professions, 2 New Weapons introduced.
- New Specialisations, each profession can now ‘branch off’ into 3 specialisations, each coming with 8 utility skills and 2 elites, each branch also adds a choice skills for slot #2 & #4 on weapons.
- New Traits, useless traits are removed (like those concerning fall damage and replaced with useful ones), 2 new traits are added to each category. (resulting in various new traits in each traitline). New traits are scattered across tyria’s bosses, events, etc…
- Various new armours introduced.
World General
- True Day & Night, nights get darker NPCs will sleep, and various items will only be available at certain spots during the day or night (set up so that each item can still be attained during both day and night, just not in the same spot or from the same NPC). Addition of ‘campfire consumable’.
- True ‘weather’ and ‘seasons’, each map in the world has been assigned a climate zone, and based upon the season of the game world, the weather in these area’s is ‘randomized’. Along with the seasons and weather changes regions will see changes in foliage textures as well as migration patterns of creatures.
- True ‘Living Trade’, production regions in the world have been evaluated for their produce in relation to traders in cities. Caravan’s now move from these production area’s to cities all across the world. The ‘state’ of these caravans will determine if produce is available in these cities.
- True ‘player housing’, all structures ‘houses’ in the game that make sense to be liveable for players (aka. not already taken up by NPCs, or being ‘production’ facilities) have their ‘door’ interact able. Renting a key will give players the option to choose one of these structures as their home. 3 New crafting professions have been added to the game to facilitate the construction of furniture.
- True Guild Facilities, various maps and major cities have structures assigned specifically for Guild ‘Housing’, a special door in these structures leads to an instance version of this structure that is available for your guild to customize and decorate.
25 okt 2014 – PinkDay in LA
(edited by Arghore.8340)
Region specific
- Multiple ‘maps’ in the game have had their events analysed, and where it made sense, events may now cover multiple maps. Various new stages have been added to numerous events and where event lines meet they now interact with each other. Seasons may have their impact on how events roll out. These events small and large now convey not only the story of a specific map, but also the what is going on on a regional scale. Outcomes of World events also play a factor in various regional event outcomes.
PvP
- Various new maps added.
- Team Death Match added as a PvP Mode.
- Capture the Flag added as a PvP Mode.
- Various Mission oriented modes added to PvP mode.
- PvP servers will either be dedicated to a specific mode, or will cycle through the various modes ‘at random’.
WvW
- New Server specific ‘Homelands’ have been created, our WvW team has worked intensively with our 3D modellers to create a ‘homeland’ for every server, due to restrictions of balance these homeland will have the same ‘overview’, but where possible each homeland will have a distinct visual appeal. We hope and expect that players will have an easier time to feel connected to their home borderlands and that these BL’s will feel more like a server distinct ‘homeland’.
- Crafting stations have been removed from BL’s, and Guild Chests and Player Chests have been added to compensate.
- Specific WvW Daily category created
- Dolyak guarding has been added to the WvW daily. Escort 10 dolyaks to complete this daily achievement.
- Scouting Keeps and Towers added, and also comes with rewards for scouting. A similar system as the ‘ruins’ has been implemented in Towers and Keeps, keeping these strategic locations ‘active’ by running around the keep will give a reward after a certain time interval. Keeps & Towers have been (re)designed to give botters a hard time. let it be known that we will keep a close eye on this system, in order to evaluate if it will not be abused. If we deem that it doesn’t live upto our expectations that we might remove the reward and add this category to the daily’s instead.
- Befriending NPC races on the Eternal battlefield now also has an impact on the BL’s of your opponents. An option to ‘Chase off’ NPC from EB has been added, this will increase NPC presence on all BL’s and NPC races will find a new home where they find the least resistance. The ‘home’ location on EB will turn into a camp, that will benefit your tic score on EB. Once an NPC Race is on another BL, the same applies, NPC’s can be ‘befriended’ and help your BL along, or they can be ‘Chased off’.
With this system we hope to increase dynamics in EB and BL’s for those in these BL’s when there aren’t that many players around (low population times), as well as offer interesting strategic choices as far as NPC allies are concerned
Legendaries
- A new way to attain legendaries has been added to the game, instead of a weapon specific effect, legendaries are now a ‘weapon set’ effect. Legendary sets are linked to various NPC crafters, living across Tyria. These crafters will become available to players once they completed a legendary feat. Each crafter has a specific feat linked to them. The crafters will require the player to bring them the components needed to craft the legendary, specific components have been created to serve the role as ‘pre-cursers’.
By making the legendaries sets, linked to certain feats, we hope to give more of an ‘earned’ quality to these weapons, as well as give players the opportunity to gain a certain legendary effect of their choice, regardless of which weapon they prefer to use …
