Ever since the update, its been impossible to get to Teq on TC and BG without an overflow. I heard by 3 am PST you can get into it. But come on everyone is asleep by then.
The reason why there is a 8-9 hour queue time is because of guests. Most low population servers have no chance of getting Teq done, so they flooded to TC and BG.
I had read suggestions to kick guests when native TC or BG players wants to get in, or ban guests altogether. I think that’s the WORST idea ever. If players on low population servers cannot get it done, guests is the ONLY way for them to do it. People on low population servers PAID for this game just as everyone on TC and BG.
I also read suggestions on nerfing Teq. Another very bad idea. Teq is exactly how he needs to be. Difficult but do-able by an organized group. This is how all future world events should be. Players should fail for the first 3 days, and eventually succeed in it after getting some experience from their failures.
On another thread, I suggest to increase Teq’s spawn rate to 48 times a day (twice an hour). This will hopefully get people moving along so everyone can get a chance at Teq in their home server of TC and BG.

“Limit the Teq rewards to once per day, so it cannot be abused. (This will also help remove the overcrowding problem in servers like TC and BG. As soon as the original players get the reward, hopefully they will leave and other new players can get to try it. This is better than waiting in overflow where failure is almost 100%.)
For example:
00:00 Teq spawns.
00:15 Event ends.
00:30 Teq spawns.
00:45 Event ends.
01:00 Teq spawns.
01:15 Event Ends.”
What plans do you guys have to reduce these queue times? Please only use recommendations that don’t involve kick/ban guests. And don’t recommend nerfing Teq neither.

I think Q times will sort themselves out so I’m not making up a solution for it, but I wanted to point out that your time table for Tequatl wouldnt work because the timer pauses at times.
Also, and I might be wrong here, but the rewards are once per day arent they?
Ok here’s one idea: increase the overflow limit with a certain amount of spots and use those ONLY for server natives. Wont make the problem go away but it would help.
Like I said above though, either all servers learn to do it themselves or some kind of third party player organization will take place, similar to how players solved the problem of a worthless lfg feature for many months.
What if we had a certain number of overflows where only the people of the same server would get in, and just after these overflows got full the game started creating the mixed servers overflow?
It would be the best possible situation, but if I am going to get stuck in overflow, I would prefer to be stuck with people that I know. Not that I know everybody in TC, but still, it would be easier to organize everybody. There would be sub-channels on our Mumble for “TC overflow 1”, “TC overflow 2”, and so on.
Edit: Yeah, I’m stuck on overflow right now.

Why are queues for the main map an issue? The content is identical on an overflow.
^The people are not, the organization is not and the chances to actually complete the event are certainly not identical on an overflow.
Overflows have beaten the Teq event….when one particular server decides to move a large playerbase to that overflow via joining on party members.
Complete random overflows lack the required amount of coordination.
I think a certain amount of matchmaking should go into overflows to try and bulk up players based on server. In other words, you’d be highly likely to go to an overflow server that has a majority of its players from your home server first.
The que time is so absurd because people are using other ways of getting in before ‘’the que pops’‘. This to skip que’ing all together. The que only pops when for instance 20 spots are available (I don’t know exact numbers). While ‘’Join In [xxx]’’ will let you in earlier.
I’ve succeeded getting in full servers every time after tequatl has been slain, as plenty people leave.
