Sorry to post this, but when will the patch today drop, or what is the usual time for a patch? Thanks!

It really differs from time to time, but it will likely drop between now and 4 hours

which can be translated as in four hours i guess?
i wish they would go back to the set times, don’t mind that it hits at 12 pm gmt+1 time, but it would be nice to know so that i don’t have to get my hopes up when i will only be able to play tomorrow evening.

They have never had set times.

during the first patches you could be quite sure they hit around 7-8 pm, as far as i can remember, point still stands though. It is very disappointing to have to wait all evening and then not even being able to play it because it hits in the middle of the night. 11-12 pm might be not all that late for some people, but yeah.

I seem to recall that one of the first major patches was released quite late. But it was quite some time ago so I might remember incorrectly.
The point remain though: They have never had a set time, nor have they ever stated a set time-frame other than a specific date.

You also have to keep in mind that they can’t really cater to the EU time-zones since they have to actually be at work to deploy the patch.

as said in the first post, i don’t really mind the lateness of it. It is just the waiting without knowing :p, which is why even a rough estimate(not four hours) would be a nice thing, then i’ll know wether or not i’ll be able to play. one can dream.
first patches have been quite a while ago, so it might just be my mind making things up.

Thats the thing though.
If they give a estimate people will rip them apart if something delays it.

Sometimes they find a last minute problem and it pushes the time of patch a little or a lot.

So, when it’s ready.

Every patch some folks asks “when will it drop” and the only safe answer is “it drops when it drops”.

The patch goes live whenever my flying mount pushes the button.
