Guild Wars 2

I was searching the website for an explanation as to what the living world is, what episodes are and how it works but could not find it. I found the bit that explains what story elements are in each episode but that’s it.

So what is the living world? What are episodes? Where do I find this content? Is is instanced? Do I need a group to play it? What level do I need to be? Is it permanent content that I can replay?

I think all of these question should be awnsered some where on the front page in one of the tabs at the top, “Game-Releases-Media-community,” ect . . .
It is not.

I know I probably could find this info in the forums but why should I have to dig for it? These are basic questions.

any one agree, or am I wrong and it is outlined some where but I just did not find it?

Thats the wiki, not the game site. What I am saying is that this is basic game information just like classes, professions, or anything else, it should be explained with out having to search it out.

Having all the information you request in your OP on the main page would probably not work all that well, seeing as there is massive amounts of information that would be needed for all that. In many situations when it comes to website design less is more.

I suspect there are a few reasons;

Some games heavily rely on their website to promote their game. GW1 and GW2 hasn’t and I think that is largely down to the overwhelming success of its Wiki. During the GW1 era, the GWWIki was considered so good, it was perhaps the best source of reference for a single game anywhere. So much so, that I suspect more ppl use the wiki than the GW main webpage.

Also, the Living Story has changed a few times and I have a suspicion the concept will change again following the PAX announcement.

I’m not saying there shouldn’t be more info, but the above are prob excuses as to why there isn’t
