Why no armors in living world?
They allot us ascended trinkets and back piece (which is armor in the TP). Anet doesn’t want to make ascended armor/ weapons easily available except in raids and fractals. This has to do with the level 80 cap. In exchange for no new levels or armor grinds they are using rarity to replace the level grind. Also a bonus of this type of progression is that for those who’ve spent tons of time earning them don’t feel cheated by it now being easily available. It’s a strategy to avoid the armor and weapon creep that normally plagues RPG’s.

I think they’re talking about skins, not actual physical ascended armour.
I agree somewhat OP – there have been some nice weapon skins (like the Seraph’s staff), but the armour skins they’ve fed us have been somewhat horrid. I would be happy with just one set of skins were released at a time (heavy, med or light), if that meant new armour skins could be released.

I cant walk around and show off my x rings x accesories x amulets, only te backpieces.
And to be hones we just got too many trinkets from the maps 2 rings 2 acessories and 1 anulet would have been enough (and maybe a backpiece here and there).
How come in se2 we got carapace luminecent and a set of trinkets? And dont tell me “oh these have stat select” because how many viper trinkets does one need?
Nobody said anything about asc armor i only talked about some exotic armor which i will work towards for the entirety if the season (and maybe my choice of a stat selectable asc armor part once i get all of them just like in se2).
Im ok with them adding rings earings and backpieces in the maps but amulets or w/e should have been only obtainable through gm’s (other than raids and wvw?) because now you got no reason to really do those anymore.

Yeah they have changed to focusing on outfits instead of armor sets. From what I understand it has to do with the amount of time it takes to make a single armor set vs an outfit. Though most are TP options there have been a few outfits available as rewards. I agree more armor skins are needed, just don’t know how many resources they want to focus on it.
If they want players sticking around then they should. Gambling all on of the expac every time to bring players isnt a healthy thing.
The inbetween content should be apealing and relevant for a while. Nothing about 10-15 diff trinkets is apealing as much as an armor set.
Again the arguement about time is baseless because the armor set will not be dropped whole in 1go.
Rather it will be 1 part of the armor at a time and in the span of a season (6-8 episodes around 10-12 months) you will have enough time for a set and 2 cool backpieces like mordrey(from se2) and the druid stone from ep5 se3. And each episode can also bring a trinket as well.
I think they probably spent more on legendary armor (which was several skins) and wvw armor and pvp armor, and didn’t have much left for Post-HoT PvE

Legendary armor was 1 armor set wvw is nice and pvp one is a reskin(?). Also, we dot seem to be getting anymore legendary armors and if we did a small portion would get to see them. Since lw is the main pve focus it should get rewards like an armor set for each season.
Legendary included the precursor and reskin or not, the pvp armor took time to make. My point is: we got several new armor sets recently; they probably ran out of time to make anything to release with the LS.
I’m not disagreeing with you about whether there “should” be LS skins; I’m just saying it doesn’t sound realistic to me — there simply aren’t enough people to supply us with all the skins and styles we want.

The argument of time is relevant because the people who would make this armour are working on the expansion, developing armour skins for it. So, it’s not like they can take a few months off to work on Living world stuff.
The team is already making skins for every living world release i believe the can fit 1 armor pieces oer 3 months in the updates.

It’s one hat/shoulder/glove and/or back piece per episode. That’s not the same as a full set, much less one for each armor weight, per episode. It’s not even a single full set.
Granted, it might help if they spanned an entire set across an entire Living World season. Since the hat, etc can be ported between armor weights without seemingly much issue, then it’s just a matter of designing chest/legs/boots to go with the rest of it. That’s probably also the hardest part, with three different rigs and several different skeletons to put them on.

What i know is that hot had 3 sets on launch 1 set of legendary armor and some reskins of wvw pvp. And the se2 armor. For what reason they couldnt do armor on se3 doesnt matter what matters is that it gives huge uncentive to replay content. Also se3 iirc is 2 shoulders 1 glove and 2 heads so far.

HoT had 3 full armour sets. The wvw was released later, and it doesn’t require the expansion, and it wasn’t a reskin.
I don’t see how an armor set is an incentive to replay content. As soon as you unlock it, you have no more reason to play.
Its unlocking it which takes time. Simply compaire it to se 2 collection for carapace luminecent. And you are right wvw armor and the pvp one arent hot.

Unlocking the skins, weapons, backpacks, minipets of the ls3 episodes takes time, too. The last episode had a big collection to get the druid backpack.
The truth is that you would just like armour rewards, instead of what you are getting, not that it would be create more playtime, or whatever excuse you are trying to make.
Nah im not trying to make any excuses every armor part of the lumincent armor took more time to unlock than A full se3 ep meta achievement tab. Also yes, Id like armor rewards because this game is about the fashion wars and whata fashionwars when everyoe looks the same because no new armors are added.
Truth be told the druid stone did give alot more replayability. 16 days to be exact but the desogn of those collections was terrible so idk if it helps your case.

Luminescent armor was not tied to the story episodes, it was all about grinding Silverwastes.
Saying that everyone looks the same is pure kitten, and if it wasn’t,1 armor set wouldn’t change that.
The druid collection wasn’t any worse than the luminescent collection.

Are you joking, by far the easiest way to obtain Ascended is in pvp.
I’m still waiting on outfits for the remaining human gods (Grenth, Melandru, Kormir). So before adding new armors and outfits maybe ANet should also focus on their incomplete sets?
I have a full set of ‘god’ characters but only 3 of them have their corresponding outfit (Balthazar, Dwayna, Lyssa).
