Wild guess, baseless too, but.[spoilers?]
The Dwarves are fighting Primordius.

We have known there were six dragons for a long time. Zhaitan was killed by the pact, Trehearne cleansed Orr, not Zhaitan.
Your theory doesn’t work with the Elder Races: Jotun, Seer, Forgotten, Mursaat and Dwarves, who successfully survived their previous rise.
A couple of things to correct here, Kralkatorrik’s magic is not Chaotic, it’s Crystalline. S.Bubbles’ powers are of yet unknown but I would wager, since She/he is the opposite of Kralky, its power is more Fluid.
We don’t know if Belinda’s sacrifice will be important until we know. It could be anything from Caladbolg-style cleanse of Maguuma to “oh crepe, save Marjory” moment.
There were 5 gods until people realized a 6th. There were 5 dragons until people realized a 6th. Wouldn’t it be interesting if there were always 5 races until people realized a 6th. It would be a retcon for the previous cycle, but that one was all janky anyways due to Glint’s interference. It would be easy to say some race existed then that even the races of the time hardly knew of, like the Largos are now.
Asura have been displaced by Primordus. The Norn by Jormag. The Charr have born the brunt of Kralkatorriks damage.
Zhaitan has attacked all over, but I’d say humans have suffered the most. And Mordremoth has also attacked everywhere, but the Sylvari have suffered at least as much as anyone.
But a lot of this is just geography, not really some magical association. For instance the Hylek are in the way of Zhaitains forces, so the Hylek get involved in that fight. Similarly the Ogres get caught up in the fight against the branded.
Yeah, there isn’t really an association.
Dwarves+Asura are hurt by Primordius
Norn by Jormag
Charr by Kralkk.
??? by Bubbles
Sylvari by Mordy
though it is assumed that Mordy is kittened off at the Sylvari for breaking away from his command, and thus why he is attacking the Pale Tree instead of the Asura who were definitely closer to him, and their city EXPLODING with magic.

We know the Krait, Karka, Largos and Quaggan were all displaced by the DSD from various in-game sources.
Does this mean quaggan becomes playable/important for fighting bubble dragon? Quaggan hero go!
No, the Karka become the playable race!
Karka master race dual wielding ranger longbows with humans as pets.
Karka master race dual wielding ranger longbows with humans as pets.
And their human pets are rangers with longbows and bears for pets.

It is more likely that Mordremoth attacked the Pale Tree, because we were holding the idiot ball at the time, and gathered the leader of every race in the least safest place on Tyria. He could have taken out all of the leaders in one swoop.

Conversely, Mordy could have ignored it altogether and no one would have thought he was a big enough threat that needed dealing with at that time.
Five races. Five dragons. But now there’s actually six to go by. Sylvaries murdered Zhaitan, by the proxy of Caladbolg’s and the Pale Tree’s seemingly top-notch capabilities to fight undead but somehow subpar capabilities of fighting, well, anything else.
Drastically over simplified. Zhaitan was killed by the Pack and Destiny’s Edge. Sylvari made up a part of the Pack forces but they were only a subset. Caladbolg didn’t actually kill Zhaitan either, in fact it was never used on him. Trahearne used Caladbolg to purify the heart of Orr, which helped to weaken Zhaitan enough for the direct confrontation but it’s only one of many things that were done (killing the mouth, killing the eye, cutting off Risen reinforcements etc.).

Although it’s looking likely, it’s not yet a fact :P
The attack was also most likely the result of the fact that summit was being held (if it was being held in Rata Sum likely they would have attacked it).

True, but no one ever said the EDs were master tacticians. It seems they’ve been succeeding so far with a rather brute force tactic (make a big army, swarm over everything).
