Will Aurene come back in ep6? [spoiler]
I think its high time she came back, she was present in the first 3 episodes, yet missing from the 4th and 5th.
She hatched in ep2 and we trained her in ep3.
I agree though, it’s high time and would feel strange to not check in again in the last ep!
I wish we had at least had word from her in every episode, or one of the visions she can send. One encounter isn’t enough to establish a meaningful connection, if that is what our bond with her is supposed to be. So, yes, she’d better be back and get a bit more attention than just a quick visit.
Oh guys. OMG. I have the terrible presentiment that we will see a vision in the end of the whole story. Not even vision, but what Aurene will actually see. I mean Balthazar knows about Aurene so perhaps he is gonna come to Tarir and kidnap Aurene? O_o And what if he is gonna kill lot of Exalted, Luminate and Caithe on his way to get her?!
Oh man… What if Aurene will get her power then and she will kill Balthazar. O_o
That’s really crazy theory, but if we would get the vision or even what Aurene will see in the situation when she will be in danger that would be awesome.
Or even not that cataclismic as I said before, maybe when Balthazar will come to attack her, she will defend Tarir and Caithe? WOW Now I am hyped for ep 6 as hell XD

Wow I really like these ideas. What if Caithe sacrifices herself to save Aurene? That would be a good way to end her story. Although I’d rather expect that with two dragons going to pre-awakening state in which they start releasing energy, the other two will start being more active. Perhaps Kralkatorrik will see Aurene as a threat and will send some champion for her? Or maybe Gleam will finally be revealed and he will save Tarir if it’s be under attack? Can’t wait.
I know the story is meandering all over the place right now with no real sense of direction, but this wouldn’t make a lot of sense. Balthazar has no reason to go after her since he has gained what he appeared to have wanted – absorption of a great deal of magic from Dragons. Since Tarir has been attacked once this Season and with it also having been attacked during HoT (the meta), a 3rd attack is just re-treading old ground.
If episode 6 is leading into the expansion, then a big battle like this in Tarir unlikely to be a suitable lead in either. Besides, he’s had opportunity to do this already and hasn’t taken it. It would be pretty poor storytelling for him to suddenly decide to do it now. It’s not like he wasn’t powerful enough before having been able to enter that chamber at all and dispose of wave after wave of Destroyers.
Balthazar’s story has only just begun – whatever it involves seems to be outside of our current concerns and we’re going to be dragged into that new conflict.
[…] and then the whole story ends and we get the cinematic and we see Gods’ Return.
I really really hope that other Gods will come back to Tyria.
…AND WITH THEM (insert drumroll) MONKS !
Please, please, please, bring back the flagship profession of Guild Wars. I want to smite my way through Tyria on a cool Shaolin-based, tattooed Monk. (sighs) <3

Perhaps not even Bathazar himself, maybe other Gods, maybe Menzies? If someone needs lots of magic should try to kill Aurene 1st, because she is the easiest way to get power.
I think that when Balthazar first came to Tarir he just saw the great, powerful barrier and he just couldn’t break through it and the commander appeared so I think he panicked. And lied to Luminate and others all the time. As we know Luminate is really powerful, but Balthazar with Dragons’ energy and Bloodstone’s power can easily kill Luminate, Caithe etc. and get really great amount of Dragon’s magic from Aurene.
I am not talking about attack on Tarir like Mordremoth’s, but Balthazar went through the security in Tarir really easily so he can come to Tarir whenever he wanna.
But if ANet wanna end the story with death of sylvari again… ehhh… nothing surprising.
Nah, Aurene isn’t nearly at full charge yet.
They might kidnap her and try to use her to gather magic, but killing her now would get them a kid’s meal at best, not a feast.
And to be honest, I don’t really like her. If I want to deal with an annoying, distracting little baby, I have Braham for that.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

I always thought Mesmers were the flagship profession of Guild Wars. They are unique to Guild Wars and I have not seen anything like them in any other game. Monks are just your standard healer class.
I am curious how Aurene will look: will she be bigger/more mature?
This is problem for us, because we’ve never seen any Dragon’s adolescence. I hope Aurene will speak with us. I couldn’t stand these mini-dragonic sounds from her mouth.
And it’s likely.
Anyway I wanna see something epic! And please DON’T MAKE AURENE AS ANNOYING LITTLE BABY! Caithe, Braham… who’s next? Please not Aurene….
Oh Maybe when Gods will come back Kormir will be annoying character again and then we’ll kill her and we’ll get our stolen divinity. xDDD
But I know that we can’t gain divinity, because there’re 5 Races, so when I would see my Sylvari ascending to divinity…. Ehh, that would be weird.
But what if when Gods will come back then every Race will obey them? Every Race would worship them? Do not know. But I doubt it and I don’t like this theory.

Sorry to say this, but Brother Mhenlo was the first interesting story NPC in the GW universe. To have a Shaolin-like fighter/healer profession in style and skill is plain cool. That makes him (and Monks) the flagship in my eyes.
Also, seeing as Anet has reduced Mesmers to mere (lame) group supporters, JP portal puppets, and raid tanks, I’d say they cannot be considered a “flagship” by any means.

Back on-topic: I don’t think we will see Aurene again until the next expansion.

Monks may have had some Eastern flavour in their appearances, but they were never a Shaolin-like fighter/healer profession in playstyle. They pretty much played like a typical healing profession like you could find in most MMOs. There were no martial arts in the GW1 monk, it was all magic, and lore-wise the guardian is the result of monks wanting more martial capabilities. So when they did adopt martial training it was with heavy armour and weapons, not hands and feet.
The Diablo 3 monk is more like what you imagine.
It’s a cheap shot, but the fact that the monk isn’t even in Guild Wars 2, and let’s face it, will probably never be, pretty much eliminates it from ‘flagship’ status.
(And to be honest, the only thing that was really interesting about Mhenlo was his interactions with women – particularly, but not exclusively, Cynn. Apart from that he was pretty much the stereotypical priest-type.)
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

Hah pretty much what draxynnic said. If monks are so cool and ‘flagship’ why aren’t they in GW2? :P
Yeah I’ll concede that mesmers aren’t what they were in GW1. That’s the whole reason I don’t have a mesmer in GW2. They were so different that it turned me off. Ended up changing my mesmer to a ranger. But having said that, at least mesmers still exist in GW2.
She has to go missing so when she comes back it makes sense that’s shes the size of a giraffe.
I just hope we won’t see aurene grow up to be an adult, considering glint was older than the shiverpeaks, it should take a long time for aurene to grow up…

Well it’s impossible that she will be suddenly adult in LS3, maybe in LS4,5 or something. She is a little dragon. My point is that we just know how the Dragons are growing up.
I think a future glimpse of an adult Aurene will be among the final footage of GW2, as a teaser for GW3. That means a long, long time from now.
I think the other dragons’ energies make other Dragons growing up.
Do you remember Primordus from GW1? He was just small dragon with a small head. But when he got the energies of Zhaitan and Mordremoth he grew up so big.
His head is as big as Rata Sum. In GW1 it was so small. He changed totally and I think it was caused by the huge amount of the magic he got after deaths of Zhaitan and Mordremoth.
Also the energy from Mordremoth’s death gave the Egg the huge impulse to hatch. I think that without this magic the birth of Aurene would last years.
So if Aurene is gonna consume the magic of an Elder Dragon in the future I think she will be as huge as Primordus.
This is my theory and I would like to speak with Taimi about it.
Then Aurine go rouge, and decimate everybody. boom!
Guild Wars 3. Lead quaggan, skritt and grawl inqusitions as they eliminate any followers of old dragons and false gods!
Uh oh! There are Aurene related items in the gemstore now as of today. Surely this is a sign from the powers that be that Aurene will most certainly be in the final episode!

I dont need any “signs”. I am 100% sure we’ll meet with her in the last episode.

Well, now the rest of us is a little more convinced of this, too.
According to the forums we’ve had the following in the gems store and that def means getting the appropriate content;
- Jormag dyes – Jormag and Drakkar
- Aurene hat – Aurene
- Foefire stuff – Rytlock’s story through the mist and The Black Citadel
- Godslayer Bow – Fighting Balth or another God
I think we can discount using the gemstore as a guide for upcoming content at this point, since otherwise this episode will be bigger than the rest of the season put together and not have any time to set up the expac…

I think we can agree SOME of it is a hint. The problem is knowing what. Currently I think it’ll be jormag/norn story and Aurene. Rytlock with xpac because ascalon is close to supposed desert xpac, we can pick him up or something. And of course the god story isn’t over, but probably limited involvement in EP6

I don’t agree that any of it is a hint. I think the only trend is tying them in to the LS3 as a whole – which makes absolute sense for them to market. I don’t disagree that Jormag could be a part of the next episode, but that is simply because the current rotation has had 2 White Mantle eps, 2 Primordus eps and only 1 Jormag episode.
If I’m wrong, so be it, but I do think using the gemstore as a preview for upcoming content is overdoing it a bit.
It was my very first prediction of the date and I was right!
Are we coming back to Orr?!
I wrote a post on Reddit some weeks ago about Trahearne’s incompleted Wyld Hunt- “the Wyld Hunt you don’t survive”. In his Dream he saw Orr restored, but then he didn’t see and we didn’t see Orr who looks like the old one- golden, shining place.
And I also wrote that only Gods can make Orr great again (wink wink).
Sadly I removed this topic… But well was I right? Will we see something what Trahearne couldn’t?
“Caithe: You have done well, Valiant. We will make a formidable alliance against Zhaitan someday.
Character: What do you know about Zhaitan?
Caithe: The undead dragon at the heart of the cursed land of Orr. Only two living creatures have ever seen it: myself and my brother Trahearne.
Ch: Can you tell me more about Trahearne?
Caithe: Another of the firstborn. His Wyld Hunt draws him to Orr as well, though he did not dream of fighting the dragon.
Ch: What did he dream about, if not battle?
Caithe: In his dream, he saw Orr as a beautiful land, once more green and fresh… an impossible task. Dragon corruption cannot be cleansed.
Ch: Is there such a thing as an impossible Hunt?
Caithe: Yes. A hunt you do not survive.”
But if if the Gods are about to come back so perhaps they will want to bring Orr back its glory. It was the home of the Gods.
