Your fave Character
Expansion spoilers:
Always loved Trahearne.
countess Anise! I just find her interesting and I like her lines
kinda hoping for the shining blade vs. white mantle going on next so she’s in the spotlight more
Taimi. Best VA, best dialogue. They are doing a good job of developing her character and personality without going overboard as well.
Probably my favourite Asura since Vekk, voiced by the always excellent Maurice LaMarche.
Scarlet 4 Evar!!!!
Later, tater.
Always follow what is true.” — Sentry-skritt Bordekka
Taimi. Hands down. Best character in the game.
My Necromancer. Best character in the game. He’s basically awesome and essentially a god who goes around and solo kills dragons and dragon minions.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
Countess Anise. In LS2 when you are at the diplomats gathering in The Grove Canach guesses something (I won’t spoil it) that infuriates her and she tells him to stop talking. What he guesses could mean any number of things but there is a ton of information in her story that we have yet to see
“Beware he who would deny you access to information,
for in his heart he dreams himself your master.”
Trahearne, by far. Really interesting character concept, and the only one who actually feels like a friend of my character, rather than an acquaintance/follower.
NO NO NO he’s not dead i won’t believe it untill I see a body and even then i won’t believe it
Eww?! I’ve found people who actually liked Trahearne?!
Oh lord...
Anyway, my favorite was Eir...
R.I.P. Your legend wont be forgotten.
I’ve always liked Trahearne. He’s always been a controversial character thanks to his role in the storyline, but I always thought he was cool, and I always felt like my character was his peer, like we were leading the Pact and facing Zhaitan together. Cleansing Orr was his primary objective, and killing Zhaitan was mine.
Tybalt probably beats him, though. I enjoyed the Order of Whispers storyline the most, and Tybalt is funny, sincere, and sad all at the same time.
Of the Season 2 characters, Taimi and Canach are both excellent.
Spoiler for HoT:
I’m satisfied with Trahearne’s death in HoT. I would have liked him to be in the story more, but I did feel motivated by trying to find him, and I felt his demise was suitably dramatic without being overwrought.
Having the final boss create an illusion of Tybalt was brilliant. It was surprising, and a great use of a memorable character. (I assume Modremoth copies the other mentors as well for that fight.)
Taimi and Canach are the best, but that’s not saying much, lol.

yeah everyone get’s the person that died in their story and the people who haven’t done the zhaitan personal story get trahearne
What they did with Taimi is a bit too much, just a very little bit. I like her very much, but could you please stop pointing out she is disabled, and start making her do awesome stuff, or rather, making awesome stuff.
I have a crush on Marjorie, and some lust for Kasmeer, and the idea of them doing it in bed makes me even more… nvm. But how come we didn’t see the investigator in Marjorie in the last expansion? I’ve always considered Marjorie to be the “executive officer” of the group, someone who the “Pact Commander” character asks for advice.
Rox, missing her quips. Brahm, not much about him though. Canach is OK too, but just like Taimi, don’t go overboard with his characterization. His “edginess” can get old and annoying if done too much.
Trahearne might make a comeback of sorts, but in the form of clones. I’ve suggested in another thread, I’ll just repeat it again. They could make multiple Trahearnes with various personalities. One Trahearne clone might be cowardly and treacherous, another brash and braggart, while another calm and smart. We could even have a crazy and random Trahearne or an effeminate one who prefers to call herself Trahearnea. XD
I used to have favourite character but Anet decided to kill off Eir Stegalkin. Ty Anet...over 2 years of enjoyment went to waste in 2 minutes. Wont forgive you.
I like Trahearne best. All the adventures the player gets to have with him…though I’m definitely biased. I play a lot of squishies, and honestly the only reason I ever get through any of the personal story missions is because Trahearne’s got my back. All the times I got revived, that he tanks for me…I can’t even count them anymore lol.
I am very sad to see him die like this. I had hoped he’d get to stick around a bit…it really does feel like I got stabbed and then the stabber twisted the knife. He and Eir were pretty much the only reasons I even went on that single-minded rampage through the jungle the first time around. And like, he exploded, so there’s not even a body to bring back. Though, I guess they could pull some metaphysical shenanigans if they do decide to bring him back, but that’s not likely given how many people dislike him.
Trahearne might make a comeback of sorts
When we struck down Trahearne with Caladbolg, we destroyed the last of Mordremoth’s mind and the remainder of Trahearne’s body.
But the body of Mordremoth still lives.
At the last moment, when the ley line energy explodes through maguuma, Trahearne’s mind, purified and empowered by Caladbolg, moves into the void left behind and gradually takes control of Mordremoth’s body.
Mordremoths minions are eventually turned back to the way of Ventari (except for those driven insane by their masters death), and become peacekeepers and tenders of this new pale tree. A wyvern riding sylvari knight, a reclaimed minion with a heavily loaded conscience, becomes a new ally of destiny’s edge 2.0 in their fight against the next dragon, and acts as a sparring partner for Taimi’s upgraded Golem in their upcoming journey.
Brun Ingotspitter
Probably the most interesting character we’ve met so far in my opinion. Taimi seems to take an interest in him, and its not every day we’ve met someone who is capable of integrating magic into blacksmithing. I also want to know who exactly hes working for. Although he wears a Vigil uniform, its not in the traditional colours of The Vigil, and Taimi also jokingly asks him if she could join The Iron Legion, suggesting he could be part of the forces that Smodur agreed to send at the summit in The Grove.
Im curious towards why we hadn’t seen anything more of Brun after LS2. Brun definitely taught Taimi some things, so why didn’t anything come from this new knowledge? Also, where is his work utilized? We don’t meet any characters who have magical tools/weapons and explicitly state it. (With the exception of figures like Rytlock and Trehearne, who’s weapons obviously weren’t created by Brun.)
Warmaster Forgal Kernsson Or Tybalt.
Yea, some odd choices, I loved the warmaster while you had time with him though. He was a hard kitten but It just reminded me of a old warriors tale.
Of course tybalt will always be my favorite, “selling apples, anyone want apples? SHHH YOUR BLOWING MY COVER” I was in tears.
heheheheheh! I made this post last year I think? :P

Mine is job-o-tron/hobo-tron/ho-ho-tron/heal-o-tron/hero-tron.
I find his story arc to be funny, heartwarming, and interesting. I especially like his hobo-tron days when he was bickering with the minister and begging for his life when captured by Scarlet. His role as Heal-o-tron was super useful and his role as Hero-tron is heartwarming, he finally gets gainful employment (and another story arc as a spy).
Probably my ranger. There is just something about the concept of the hunter/archer type that appeals to me.
Well, there have been several characters throughout GW2 that catched my attention and love – Zojja, Sieran and Scarlett are the ones I would like to point out. Zojja has been a great character in the Personal Story, but they haven’t gone anywhere with her char since then – better they had killed her instaed of Eir.
All Mentors have been great, but for me Sieran was the best. I truly miss her.
Scarlett was the best introduced and developed character since the initial game. I wish we hadn’t killed her and instead would have won her for our team after some time and inprisonment …
P.S. Treaharne is a good character as well and deserved a better story in HoT.
Tybalt, you magnificant kitten. You were too beautiful for this world. Why couldn’t YOU have returned from the mists instead of, you know, that other guy?
Trahearne might have been a bigger favourite if the end of the core-game hadn’t devolved into “The All-New Trahearne Show, featuring the Trahearnettes and the Pact Commander”.
Having said that, the pacing and character-development (meaning, in part, the placement of YOU, THE PLAYER) was done a whole lot better in HoT. So uh… Faolain? Smarmy Faolain was a lot easier to digest than Selfrighteous Faolain.
Man, HoT got that right as well.
eir is my fave
Taimi. I like her attitude and her voice.
Followed by Rytlock and Tybalt because Charr. Iam waiting for the inveitable return of Tybalt in Season 3.
Kolijn Johannson.
All time favorite character has to go to Taimi. I didn’t like her much until I learned of her disability, and then thought of how vulnerable she became in certain circumstances, and her determination despite the cards she was dealt.
A lot of players seem to dog her because of how pronounced her disability is, but, well, it is an important part of her character. As someone who suffers from the real life equivalent of her condition (Charcot-Marie Tooth disease), I found her more relatable than others, and a breath of fresh air compared to the likes of Zojja.
Anyone with “Merchant” next to their name.
Kasmeer was my fav until I met…
Swordsmaster Faren.
EASILY the best character ever introduced in a game, period.
Easily Zojja and Taimi. Rytlock is kinda cool too. I really like Zojja’s confidence and showing emotion. Taimi is a very sweet character who is full of light and joy. I don’t actively hate any character except for Canach, he just comes across as a big arrogant insolent jerk. And I really hate Faolin. Don’t want to spoil too much but she became an irredeemable betrayer and even back in LS2 was a bad influence on Caithe.

I don’t Taimi relatable (I can clear 8 miles in an hour) but I still like her ^_^ Zojja is very likable but in a different way. She’s determined, smart, and always says or shows how she feels.
Logan. Anyone related to Gwen is awesome.

Eir is by far my favourite character. Which is a shame because she is linked to the character I like the least.
My main is a male Norn and honestly without Eir’s inclusion in the game I wouldn’t be all that interested in them since they get overlooked in comparison to the other big 4 races. But she’s a great representative for the Norn, almost like a Jedi Master figure or a combination of Jora and Sif.
Despite being the leader of Destiny’s Edge and the only really interesting Norn NPC, Anet seems determined to undermine her. I honestly don’t understand why.
Of the major NPCs, I’d like to know/see more of Anise the most.
I honestly quite liked Scarlet. I thought she was voiced perfectly for the character, mary sue and all.
Canach and Taimi have had great lines in HoT. I’ve liked Canach before, but he was a lot of fun in the HoT story, rapidly climbing my ladder. He’s even better when you’re playing a sylvari.

I thought Logan was the leader? All the signs are there:
1.He’s human.
2. Wields a sword and shield.
3.Wears heavy armor.
With Rytlock being the lancer, Zojja the smart girl, and Eir the big girl:
I thought Logan was the leader?
Destiny’s Edge was made up of two separate groups; Dragonspawn’s Destiny & Edge of Steel.
Eir formed Dragonspawn’s Destiny with Snaff, Zojja & their golems in order to defeat Jormag’s champion called Dragonspawn. They failed and Dragonspawn attacked Hoelbrak, leading to her exile from the Norn.
Meanwhile Logan, Rytlock & Caithe were prisoners in Lion’s Arch and were forced to fight gladiatorial styled battles to gain their freedom. They named their arena group Edge of Steel. Eir was searching for warriors strong enough to defeat Dragonspawn, and managed to free them. From there the two groups formed Destiny’s Edge.
Eir was the one who came up with their attack plans (in consultation with Snaff) and she’s the one who led them into battle everytime. It’s also why most of them resent her because she led them to defeat against Kralkatorrik.
I actually don’t know what Logan contributes other than muscle. But for some reason he does get centre stage in alot of the promo material for Destiny’s Edge.
Mordremoth, because it turned Treehearne into a zombie kitten puppet, which is the fate he deserved.
I’ve grown quite fond of Canach ever since the turnabout trial living story. He is just so cynical, I really enjoy his sense of humor and his voice actor does splendid work with it.
Of all the forgettable characters? Taimi and Canach.
Contains major spoilers here!!!!!
now Trahearne has died I with my fave character is Canach. Before Treahearne my Fave was Forgal until he died
Soooo what character do you guys like most?
I hate A-net for that. Why did they have to do that. I didn’t particularly like him but I don’t like that the community got what it called for. The hate for him was so unreasonable
Anyway. Best character still is Rox! And right after that Anise with Canach :P Kasmeer can be fun sometimes, too, but it’s really a double-edged sword.

Ya with Eir being the tactician it is suited that she was the leader. With Eir’s death I question what will become of Destiny’s Edge.
Logan I can’t call a leader since his role in the group was mostly being the frontline tank of the group.
Rytlock was the aggressive fighter of the group which wnet well with Logan’s defensive nature.
Caithe was the infiltrator member and she always has trust issues.
Zojja was the Engineer who provided the heavy muscle with her golem.

Taimi
those who don’t like her are heartless
-Total War: Warhammer
-Guild Wars 2
My favorite characters in the beginning were Eir and Caithe. I also really liked Forgal. Trahearne sort of grew on me, and Scarlet I found to be really interesting. I don’t like any of the newer NPCs from the Living World. I might have felt differently if I had played through season one, but I didn’t.
It’s really hard to pick a favorite, though. A lot of them have really interesting stories.
1. Taimi
2. Magister Sieran
