Zephryrite Question
We know that the Zephyrites headed west after they left the Labyrinthine Cliffs, although no one knows why they were heading that way. (Both Cantha and Elona, the other two major regions of civilisation, lie to the SE and SW of Tyria.)
Okay, so the next question becomes how did Aerin end up corrupted. He seemed fine at the Cliffs, and I’m unsure he would have been able to keep his condition a secret in the midst of the Festival.
He might have been affected when they got closer to Mordremoths location, which would be around the time he started killing people.

True, but why? With the exception of Scarlet, and we know how she ended up becoming the way she was, how did he come in contact with the dragon corruption in the first place? Was it because Sylvari are sentient plants or something else. plus he didn’t seem to just go nuts and start killing randomly. This was part of a concerted plan.
It all seems to be attached to where the Master of Peace hints he’s going at the end, but it’s interesting to consider.
As far as we know, he had severed his connection to the Dream, much like Scarlet, and as such become sensitive to the influence of Mordremoth (based on the current speculations).
Scarlet didn’t have any direct contact with Mordremoth either, until it was in her head (or whatever it was).

It seems that it was the machine that did it for her. But if he’s Soundless, it makes me wonder if we’re going to see the Soundless colony get hit when Mordremoth extends his vines that far.
My questions are these!
1. Why do we think the Zephyrites are necessarily on our side? They worship the dragons and think the dragons are neither good or evil, just a force of nature. The crystal dragons bones are somewhere in the Dry Top Area, are a source of great energy. Could they be the source of the ley line hub? That the dragons eat magic but maybe when they die a hub forms and magic expands outward through ley line too.
2. What was the mysterious cargo Taimi saw being loaded onto the ship? Is this cargo what actually blew up? The ships ran on wind not motors so what’s to blow up? They were big flying kites not motorized planes. I see them using crystals to fill their sails not power. Of course maybe the crystals blew up.
3. What was the ship with the red sails at the cliffs. It’s important enough there was a cut scene for it? It might have been a ship from Cantha, and there were a lot of Cantha items around the cliffs and a hint that the Zephryites were trading with them. But a cut scene for that seems like a big misdirect. But possible.
4. What was Aeron looking for? The bones of the dragon or the Master of Peace. Or was the Master of Peace a way to get to the bones.
1. The Zephyrites do revere Glint, it’s true. But that worship doesn’t translate to support for the Elder Dragons. We regard them as “good” mostly because they have renounced violence and war and simply want to live a peaceful existence in the clouds.
2. We don’t know, but it seems likely that this mysterious cargo is what the Master of Peace is carrying.
3. It’s a new Zephyrite airship that wasn’t present during the last Labyrinthine Cliffs. It’s possible that it was constructed while the Zephyrites were in Cantha, and they gave it red sails as a nod to its origins.
4. All clues seem to suggest that Aerin wasn’t after the Master of Peace himself, but something he was carrying. Given how Mordremoth has been hunting for powerful magical artifacts to consume, it might be that Aerin was simply tasked with acquiring whatever powerful magical treasure the Zephyrites have so Mordremoth could eat it. This might be Glint’s skull, a relic from Cantha (Shiro’s swords?), or something else. We just don’t know at this point.
