I went to the durmond library yesterday, and after reading several books there it occurred to me that Scarlet did us a favor.

Dragons feed off magic and grow stronger because of it. We killed Zhaitan and his magic was released upon his death. If Scarlet had not woken mordy then it is presumed we would have tryed to kill the others and mordy would just soak up more magic and continue to grow in strenth. Trahern could very well have led the pact to their doom because the original plan was set astray by scarlet bringing attention to mordy to early.

There’s no reason to believe dragons don’t feed on magic when they’re awake so they’re all still feeding on the magic of the world. Mordy being awake hasn’t changed that.

If we assume Zhaitans magic spread out evenly through the world then Mordy wouldn’t get more of it than the others so their relative power would remain unchanged.

When one dies it’s power doesn’t automatically go to the others, it’s just one less dragon feeding so Zhaitan’s death doesn’t make the others more powerful than they were before.

Scarlet did us no favors waking Mordy and just added a new player to the game for us to worry about.
