charr human negotiations.
Btw if you analize the story it is like we are going to explore and resolve every race nature and problems. First we fight ad a group against zahitan resolving the undead problem that was affecting the sylvari race the most due to their vicinity to them an thraerne wild hunt. From there on we explored sylvari true nature revolving their problems even furture. Now we started to resolve human matters. Bandits centaurs white mantle… and with the coming of balthazar we started the true nature arc for humans too. Maybe in future we will explore every race like this and due to the twists of last episodes i bet charr will be next.
No give us waaaarrrrr
I do am surprised there’s a lack of unique charr dialogue (my char seems rather blaze about the whole god thing – yeah charrs are nonbelievers but they’d still be surprised to see them in Tyria).
Also i find it hilarious that there are many charr mercenaries working under Balthy.
Praise be to Balthazar!
“And Balthazar did cast His gauntlet Northeast, to the lush lands yonder, and to his army, that he did build from men and women and courageous hearts, He commanded in a great voice that resounded with the calamity of strife, “March forth to this land. Fear not the savage demons that dwell therein, for I will protect you as you spill the blood of your virginal war. March forth to this land. Conquer the lesser for glory and the welfare of your children and your children’s children.”
So the armies of Orr did march forth and spread His word with the singing of swords and the sermons of battle cries. We did baptize our flesh in the blood of our victories and spread His fire from Arah to the mountains in the far north.
And thus did we, with His blessing, deliver Ascalon from the hordes of the monsters known only as Charr."

The gift of the khan-ur’s claw to the charr is not really a gift to the race itself anymore. It has become a gift to the iron legion imperator that has the custody of the claw, an imperator that proclaimed that his wish was to destroy it to free the charr race from an antiquate tradition.
If you go deeper into charr politics, this is actually exactly what you’d expect.
The charr aren’t a single united nation so much as three separate nations that support each other militarily. Ascalon is Smodur’s territory, and therefore it is up to Smodur whether the war continues. Ergo, it was Smodur that Queen Jennah needed to persuade, and therefore it was Smodur who received the Claw. As long as Smodur maintains the peace, neither Malice nor Smodur have any direct say in what happens in Ascalon, short of declaring war on the Iron Legion as well – they can express their wishes but they can’t openly continue fighting in Iron Legion territory against an opponent that the Iron Legion has declared off limits. (I do have a suspicion that Bangar has been supporting the Renegades, but that’s under the proverbial table.)
That said, whatever treaty that Smodur has is not necessarily binding in Blood or Ash territory. Bangar is probably well within his rights to declare that any human in Blood Legion territory is open game. This might annoy the other Imperators, but what he says goes in Blood Legion territory, just as what Smodur says goes in Iron Legion territory.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
