how many times have you played through S2?
5 times. I have 5 “main” characters.
Once for each episode. On a single character. Don’t know if I plan to do them on any others. I recently got a second character to level 80 but my other 2 alts are level 35 and 19 so it’s gonna be a while.
Don’t care about trying to get pain in the neck achievements for junk loot that isn’t worth anything.
Once each, and twice for part 2 because the first time I had to watch the final cut scene without sound and wanted to see it properly.
Not that I don’t enjoy the story or want to do the achievements, but I’ve had a lot of other things to do recently (both in GW2 and in general) and since the ability to play the releases at any time was one of the things I was most excited about when Season 2 was announced I thought I’d take advantage of that.
I’m really looking forward to being able to go back to it weeks/months later and still be able to play it. And getting to go through it on all my different characters when they eventually hit level 80.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I’ve only done each installment once, though not due to lack of desire. I just don’t have enough time!
sigh
I have 6 other lvl 80s which can do them. I’d like to get all of them through eventually, but there just aren’t enough free hours in my day.
I’ve gotten through Omadd’s machine on three alts, and two of those have gotten through Duke Barradin. I figure I will always do the story first on my RP main, despite him being a squishy thief, and then on my dps guardian so I have the episode “banked” for when I feel like achieve runs, and I had an RP reason to run one of my mesmers through the Dry Top part so I did that and might zip him through the DR:1 just to keep him current. For relative values of “zip” as he hasn’t explored any of the relevant areas. By one’s 12th 80 the urge to see all the zones is rather reduced
All episodes once with one character. The first episode again with that character for achievements.
Did the first episode again with a second character. Wasn’t as fun as I thought, but it was an alternative to get some keys and more geodes. I mainly try to see if the game reacts different to my Asura character then to my Norn.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”

Same problem, but I at least did the first 2 with my main and one of my alts (who’s still busy with the third).
Episode 1.
Once one one character then did the achievements.
One more on another character because a friend was going through.
Episode 2.
Once.
Episode 3.
Zero. No real desire to continue.
Just one full time through everything, then as many as needed to get the achieves. Well, most of them anyway, I haven’t done the achieves for the statue battle just yet.
I do intend to play through the story on each of my characters eventually (or at the very least each of the different races, just to check for racial dialogue differences) but I just haven’t gotten around to it. Seems each LS introduces new things to grind out in open-world and I’ve been using my time on those grinds instead of doing the story.
Episode 1: Second time only 2/3 (with my Guardian char)
Did not do the third sub part for achievements
Episode 2: once (with my Warrior char)
Episode 3: once (with my Ranger charr)
I might redo episode 2 and 3 for some of the achievements.
One for all of them. They enemies don’t give stacks or xps and you need to run though a second time for the achievements. Maybe now that they are unlocked I’ll redo the episodes when I have nothing better to do, but for now I couldn’t be bothered.
I’ve done each episode once, on my main character. I will definitely do them again on other level 80’s and to try for the achievements, but a bit later. After all, I can do it whenever I want now, not going to spoil that for myself by immediately doing every episode over and over again right off the bat.
me and my friends only 1x and it was boring like hell
we wanna play the game not watch stupid cutscenes and textlines from annoying giggling NPCs

Was not really interesting the first time.
Gates, three times, I think, with three characters. I initially thought I’d get achievements when I played through with the second character, but alas, nope, you have to repeat it with the same character. Yeah. Started into it with a fourth, mostly just to show the game to someone, but never went back to it.
Second chapter, once with one character. I think. Might have done part of it with a second character. Maybe. At this point it was all starting to blur together into a red circle dodging / hokey pokey boss fight mess as the realization (This! Is! Living World!) began to set in and motivation to care, concurrently, began to plummet. I know I did one mission several times trying to get an achievement which blabbing NPCs kept preventing by blabbing on and on and on while the timer ticked relentlessly down. Then there was that dramatic, heart-rending scene which was almost dramatic and heart-rending until the talking started… and, much in the fashion of the Energizer Bunny, kept on going… and going… and going.
Dragon thing pt 1: Once with one character. To heck with the achievements. Sitting here trying to remember what even happened… oh, yeah. Let’s do stuff that’s been in the game, like, ya know, forever, but it will be like doing it again for the first time because now it’s part of the Living Story! Yay! Capped with the obligatory hokey pokey boss fight. Yes, I remember now why I forgot it.
Dragon thing pt 2: Once with one character, which was more than enough. To heck with the achievements. This time around, a twist: TWO hokey pokey boss fights! Be still, my heart. Only possible motivation to repeat that godsawful mess: to help a guildie get through it. Maybe. If they beg nicely.
Dramatic re-enactment (for entertainment purposes only): Ya put your right foot in, ya take your right foot out, ya put your right foot in, and you attack the boss until it’s invulnerable again, at which point ya put your right foot in, ya take your right foot out…
0, I dont care about the story, I watch online series if I want to watch some interesting cool story.. I play games for fun.
0 times. Dry Top lag my pc on a way that none of the other game zones can achieve.
@ Sorrow’s Furnace (VE)
Zero times. I’ll probably play through it once, eventually, and maybe (reluctantly) repeat to grind some AP.
I don’t play this game for the story. If I wanted a good, interesting, well-told, and compelling story, I’m quite certain I could do much better by playing another game, or even better yet picking up a good book and/or watching a film and/or watching a television series. From what I’ve heard from people I trust, the LS is decidedly mediocre when it comes to being well-told and compelling, and it also sounds like it’s quite a bit more childish than anything I’d normally consume.
0 Times, I refuse to run the stories again for AP. It was very lazy of ANET to stretch out what little content they’ve just added by making us re-run the LS.
Episode 1. Twice. Once for story second time for achevments. Currently playing through on my guard.
Episode 2 as above with out the guard bit.
Episode 3 on my scone play through for achievements.
