A guild mate of mine posted on reddit the actual future of the game (I can’t find his link atm(also, this is total speculation)). In summary, Omadd was really working for the consortium, and the device scarlet looked into was actually a brain washing device. She has been a pawn of them this whole time and the consortium is using her to advance their plot to take over/replace the BLTC. The motions are already in place with the lionguard taking over the BLTC. You have been warned

Everyone seems to keep forgetting that Primordus is the one living underground (in The Depths – that large subterranean network of caverns and tunnels that run beneath the surface of Tyria). So, since Mordremoth lives in the Maguuma Jungle, how can the giant drill drilling into Lion’s Arch be in any way related to Mordremoth since Mordremoth is miles away :v? So far, it seems more and more than Primordus is who Scarlet is drilling towards. Even the Tengu are starting to have Destroyer problems, so Primordus has to be close.

To be fair Zhaitan and Kralkatorrik also lived underground before they awoke.
And I don’t think she might necessarily be digging specifically for a dragon, but rather for the Leylines, which on the other hand CAN make a dragon stir somewhere due to the sudden influx of magic.
And the most logical choice for that would be Mordremoth, since Primordus is already active.

And the Tengu have been having Destroyer problems since before release.

I like how someone essentially took what is more or less the story from Mass Effect (3 specifically) and transplanted it here.

i dont think she is trying to awaken mordremoth as far as we know she’s not sleeping all the dragons are awake just hidding til the moment they feel they have the strength to fight. Primordus is a better choice everyone wants to say Primordus isnt under la but thing is Primordus been stiring all underground getting strenth but the drawfs keep it at bay . so im sure scarlet is digging a hole big enough to free Primordus. makes more sence sence all the destoyer activity thats going on in the sotry line along with the drege

She ‘s not drilling in the sea, she’s drilling in the bay. The sea is slightly further south.

I’m telling you, the device that drove Scarlet mad is SAB (she was probably failing at Tribulation mode).

When SAB appears again this coming April, remember my words. We will ALL turn mad and start breaking things! World 3 TM will break even the most sane players.

Oh, and the voice in her head? It’s obviously the Genie inside SAB, and his real identity is Zommoros.

A few days of forum ban for me

I’m back now and should have heeded your advise on deleting my post. I was hard headed though and wanted to see what the repercussions would be. Boy did I learn the hard way..

Hopefully we find all the answers to our questions today though. I also hope this patch will help get me back into the GW2 mood. I haven’t really played much since the Escape from LA patch

I still think maybe she’s looking for the Scepter of Orr, which was in Livia’s hands the last time we hard of it…

From the Official Guild Wars (1) wiki:
“The Scepter of Orr is a relic from the kingdom of Orr and is the twin of the Staff of the Mists which controls forces from beyond the known reality, such as a titan, and makes this outer world obey the bearer’s will; this staff controls the mind world and as such alters a player’s energy when wielded or near by.”

To go on with my little theory: The Scepter of Orr, as stated in the official wiki, “makes the outer world obey the bearer’s will” and is lost to the present-day Tyrians. Livia had it for a while, but after that, there is no record. It does mention Ogden Stonehealer.

If you follow the wiki to “Ogden’s Benediction” this is what you see:
