You mean you actually LIKE the current layout and how it looks? It is not a city, it is a theme park.
The racial cities, particularly DR, are more my idea of what a city in this world should be like.

Errr no actually. I’ve neither said nor implied that I like the current layout. I actually liked the original more pirate-y themed layout of LA but I see the fact that anytime anything Elder Dragon related stuff happens, LA getting destroyed as a result is becoming cliche. It’s like in Hollywood movies where any anytime an alien invasion happens, or a big monster shows up, or an apocalyptic natural disaster occurs, it’s always New York City that gets blown up. It’s like the rest of the world doesn’t exist or isn’t important enough for the big baddies to pay attention to.
LA has been destroyed and rebuilt enough times. Let’s move on.
I like the new Lion’s Arch. Vesuvius you are right, it’d be a stupid idea to see this city being destroyed and rebuild over and over again. Other cities are just as good targets to be attacked by dragons. I’d rather be interested in The Grove and Rata Sum being attacked one day by minions of the Deep Sea Dragon.
This could be a way of salvaging the Tengu city map that never made it into the release of the game. Epic dragon fight there wrecks the city, and punches holes in the walls so we can go there. Tengu can no longer keep us out because they are too busy dealing with dragons or all dead. Since it is unlikely that Tengu will become playable at this point, we would at least get to explore this area at last.

The Grove has already been attacked in Living World Season 2 – Shadow of the Dragon (Mordremoth champion) attacked the Pale Tree during the World Summit and nearly killed it. Granted, it hasn’t had any lasting effects like what Lion’s Arch has gone through, but, as I said, it has been attacked.
