[spoiler] Destiny Edge's
Rytlock coming out of nowhere caught my attention…
Eir, Logan and Zojja’s seems to be in a little bit of a problem, yes. I don’t think they are dying anytime soon, however.

No. You see, Eir was talking with Braham and saying how they will be hunting together and bonding, finally fixing their relationship. That means they are going to kill her. That’s how it goes.
Open ended. If they can get the voice actors in line (new contract) they survive. If they have further issues getting them to commit, they kill them. :P
They seemed like they were a couple hundred feet in the air when the airship blew up. It looked like logan was hanging off the edge of the ship holding Zojja and Eir on top of it Shooting her bow. Pretty hard to survive that. I doubt that they had falling damage trait or rune :P
On bright note… does that mean Traherne( however u spell it ) is evil or dead now too?

I’d prefer evil and alive so I can personally kill him.

You guys are so bad! Now that sylvari are finally confirmed to be part of Mordremoth, what to expect from Heart of Thorns? Open PvP against Sylvari o.O ?
I’d love me some open pvp.
I mean wvw is that, but it is really desolated at my server….
Kill all Sylvari on sight.
This is a dream come true. Thank you, Anet. sniff
I have to wonder why Trahearne was commanding from the ground rather than a flagship. Did I see that wrong?
Though to those saying he was incompetent to have the fleet fire from such low altitude, could be that’s all the range the cannons have?

They were pulling the same tricks with Kasjory near the end of LS1, though and most that happened was Spare-Jory #1 died at the start of LS2. So maybe they’ll just kill Garm. (Where the heck was Garm, anyway?)
Let’s hope they had their fall dmg trait and an armor set with the new runes of snowfall otherwise they are dead.
Noooooo not the Sylvari! I will be very miffed if they kill off Trahearne or Canach and have a big ole ugly cry.
Kill off the Sylvari and bring in the Tengu!

I don’t think they got George R. R. Martin on board.

Screw that. Kill off the Norn and bring in the Tengu. Sylvari have the most interesting anatomy of any of the game’s races, along with a well-realized culture. Norn are nothing but big, ugly human vikings that kinda-sorta turn into animals.

Other way around. The were polar bears turned into sort of humans, supposedly.
So, the last thing our team said before the video was that we needed to check in with DE to find out where Caithe went. And now they’re all… MIA, at best. Convenient.

Strange when Rytlock, who’s in another dimension, might actually be the easiest to reach…

Wow, it’s been a long time since I felt the need to log in the forums :P
I don’t think anyone important died on that crash (no, not even dear Marshal, hopefully), and our little gang will probably go look for our missing friends first thing on the next update. Well, maybe we will have to rescue Canach from the Seraph first. Then we go after them.

No, we will have 7 episodes of doing things all over the world, and on the season finale of the third season will we actually go find them.
People don’t seem to die in crashes in this game. Flight is a relatively new invention so they don’t go up super high, plus all the ships were connected by the vines that were attacking them, so they could have just run/climbed down the vines as the ship was going down.

I seriously hope not. It seems awfully out of character for our adorable group of misfits to not go after them immediately after hearing of what happened.
Regardless of each player’s feelings towards Trahearne, he is one of the PC’s best friends canonically, so leaving him completely lost in enemy territory is weird at best. Braham would want to go save his mother, and Taimi would certainly want to go after Zojja, too.

Let’s hope that you are right. If they DID die, I would like to see it happen. I hate when games kill important characters offscreen. Last time we saw them, they were pretty much alive, even if the situation was dire and Trahearne got separated from the group at some point (or maybe they just didn’t show him because Eir was pretty much the focus on the scenes, and he was in front of her?).

That’s mean, poor Garm. What has that poor wolf ever do wrong to anyone (aside slitting some throats of incompetent/irritating people). Take all the Sylvari but leave Garm alone.

That trope predates Game of Thrones by a long way.
The two cutscenes do seem to contradict one another – the HoT teaser trailer seems to show some sort of explosion coming up beneath them (which COULD be a portal of some kind) as opposed to the first one that shows Logan and Zojja hanging off.
It’s also worth noting that Sieran demonstrates in the Windy Cave that elementalists can have flight capabilities that aren’t available to PCs, and Logan has demonstrated protective abilities beyond most guardians (CoF story). So it’s possible that between them they can secure the survival of the group.
If it comes down to voice actors, though… they seem to have no problem getting Troy Baker or Jocelyn Blue back, but Felicia Day has a busy schedule. So my money would be on Zojja dying if any of them do.

They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
In terms of Destiny’s Edge surviving?
Erhem…

Was there not a scene right after that indicating they had somehow survived the crash? I’m pretty sure it showed them all on the ground with the wreckage, but maybe I’m remembering wrong.

I don’t know about that…
I mean, the huge floating wizard castle existed even in original Guild Wars.
Rata Sum also floats pretty high up.

I’d like to formally claim dibbs on killing that glory stealing cabbage.

LOL
one of those on the ship was trehearne though!!!!!!!
Caladbolg may have helped shield Trahearne from Mordremoth. He did have the sword on his person during the failed attack.
And there for a bit I thought that Trahearne was corrupt before he wasted entirety of Pact + combined race forces by lowering the fleet for bombardment (they could have used bombs instead of guns! Napalm bombs! Or Agent Orange!). But I guess incompetence works as an explanation as well.
As far as DE is concerned, we have seen Logan survive worse in the last part of PS.
You don’t get it. They were obviously all stacked with Superior Runes of the Snowfall.
So THAT’S why the attack was delayed until after Wintersday!

I’m willing to bet 100 gold every member of Destiny’s Edge aboard that ship survived. Trahaerne may not have fared so well, though. As to the two members of DE not on board, I wouldn’t mind terribly if Rytlock was cutting his way through the jungle to find and kill Caithe. That’s obviously not going to happen, but a guy can hope.
