Guild Wars 2

I tried to participate in this event. The story started out interesting, but then the everything kind of got derailed by a never ending zergfest. As a lower level player, I could not reach many zones and it took the entire 2 weeks to even participate in the 5 portal quests. So now I have 50+50+40+40+40 = 220 twisted watchwork shoulder scraps. Which means nothing. I can’t trade them. I can’t buy the 30 more that I need to get the shoulder skin. I can’t sell them. Do I just delete them?

I feel a little bit like my time was wasted.

Actually I feel a lot that way.

I knew I would never complete the story achievement, so I was wanting the shoulder skin as a token to be able to show that at least I had participated, but now… can Anet people do something to make my shoulder scraps useful? please?

I too would give you one of the many useless ones I have. But I think if you can find and invasion you can still get them.

Anet could come up with a way to share account bound stuff but not sell it. If we are willing to give it to someone why not. Maybe put it on the TP for no price and if you really need them you could get them. You know players actually helping players.

I’d gladly give you one of the 6 that I have sitting in my bank if only they were sellable or tradable in any way.

Unfortunately for both of us, they’re just going to take up space until we delete them >.>

We still have invasions every now and then. Haven’t played it so I’m not sure if they still reward scraps though.

Thank you everyone for sharing my pain. I like the idea of players helping players a lot. I frequently try to heal people that are downed, or agro a badie away from attacking someone who is in over their level, or whatever fits the situation. I would love it if Anet did more to facilitate players spontaneously helping players. I think that would be a feature to the game that would both attract new players and encourage existing players to stay. Thanks again!
