If I buy 2 accounts, and use no 3rd party programs, am I allowed to say, put one inside a tower in wvw to scout, while the other fights with the main zerg?

Won’t work on virtual machines. Something like virtualbox has it’s own graphics drivers for the VM, it’s not meant to be able to play something like GW2.

You might be able to “trick” the launcher into launching twice though.

Can’t see this being a problem using 2 computers – we have five accounts running from our house with various family members all playing the game – there would not be any difference with you running two accounts – provided you weren’t using any third party software, and only controlling on character at a time.

Running two accounts off the same computer would probably be tricky, as I suspect this would be impossible without the use of third party software. I’m no IT expert though, so could be wrong on this latter point.

I think as long as you’re manually controlling both characters the entire time they won’t have a problem with it. (Or essentially AFK on one, so they’re just standing there while you control the other.)

I can’t see anyone seriously claiming that this gives you an advantage because even if one is just standing in one place and you’re using them to see what’s happening you’ll still have to split your attention between the two, which puts you at a disadvantage.

Like Danikat said, you just have to manually control each account. One keystroke = one action on one account.

So long as u DONT use ANY Macro’s ,bots, ..or other 3rd party programs to control the account ..then ur fine.

It has to be all manual. Dual boxing using 3rd party programs is NOT allowed.

Not sure about GW, but most other games allow you to run two separate accounts on the same computer at once. It’s called boxing. I ran two to three accounts and had my own little group going in Everquest at times. One guy had multiple computers and regularly played four to five toons at once…and did it very well
