2 years...finally a precursor. -Trading-
Grats!!!
And yes, was gifted one recently. Tooth of Frostfang through the mail. Although it wasnt a transaction on my part, with those you should be careful if anything is supposed to be traded.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
There is no player to player because anet wants to avoid scams and other issues. Like chat spam etc.
It has been stated by developers that they have no plans to add it.
I would not trade through the mail unless you know the person because if they don’t send the item or gold you out of luck. Anet might ban them for scamming. But you won’t get your stuff back.
Congratss on the drop though.

Well I mean a Trading system like in Diablo II, where you would meet the player and a window would pop up and you could place the item you both were trading in your windows. Then both have to confirm trade for it to go through,
It’s still very possible to scam in that system (eh by using replacing an item with one that looks/sounds similar and one party not noticing, “mistyping” gold amount, etc) , and would still likely cause trade spam in chat – the system you’re suggesting is the one they had in GW1 and given it’s no longer there, that should pretty much tell you all about their stance on it.
……. It’s not the precursor I want and the gold isn’t enough to get me the one I want.
…..and you want a Player Trade system so you can scam another player into trading straight up? Nice.
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances

Or if you are not a scammer, the other one is. Trust no one.
Yes, I’ve heard about trading precursors by mail. Don’t do it.
Just sell it in TP and with 2 years of gathering stuff and experience, you probably have ways to get the missing few hundred.
The Colossus. From a champion bag after doing fractals. I thought it was impossible, but here I am with it in my inventory. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of trading precursors through mail.
Have heard of it. Have heard of people being scammed in it.
Also why hasn’t there been a “Player Trading System” implemented into the game yet. It’s not the precursor I want and the gold isn’t enough to get me the one I want.
There isn’t a player-to-player trading system because the BLTP does everything that you need, except for direct item-to-item trading.
You know, your last statement kind of makes me feel really, really sad. It looks like you’re wanting to trade your bad precursor for a more valuable one. Depending on who you ask, that would also be a form of “scamming”, in that you’re implying that all precursors have the same inherent value due to being “precursors”.

You do know that Diablo II was notorious for trading scamming? A standard way to pull it off was:
- Scammer fills their inventory and puts the real item in the window, all goes well until the final confirmation.
- The final confirmation does not go through because the scammer has no space.
- The trade window gets closed and the scammer “goes to make some inventory space”.
- The trade restarts, but the scammer now puts another item with an identical icon into the trade window.
- The other person goes through with the trade, only realizing after its done that they got a different item.
There were also issues where lag could cause the timers in the trade window to malfunction. Start a trade with some heavy downloads bogging your internet connection and you could do the whole “swap the item” without the timer getting triggered at all, or getting triggered for a shorter duration.

We had it in Guild Wars 1…and people still got spammed. It was taken out to minimize scamming.
