Hey, I’ve got a bunch of tomes and I’ve picked a ranger to level up. I think he’s gonna be my main. I just created him so he’s a level 3. Should I immediately use the tomes or should I wait to use them to do 60->80?

60 to 80 I think it is the best point.
You won’t need to buy the needed gear for that range and aim right to the end gear and also play the rest of the game with the full potential of the class.

The first 15 or so levels also unlock much quicker than all the following ones. Or they did for a while after the NPE fiasco. I think they still do.

Honestly, I’d use them in either the 40-60 or 50-70 levels. Those are always the worst for me, as far as leveling goes. 1-20 goes really, really quickly. 20-40 usually goes fairly quickly, too. But once you get to around level 40, things start to feel like they drag. Once you’re to 70, it picks up again (especially if you’re combining your personal story with map completion in Orr as you go).

They are, especially linen and that level wood. But I just hate leveling in those ranges. :p

I think I’ll do the last 20. I make most of my money wandering around too much and selling crafting resources after they won’t go in the crafting storage locker thing.
