Hello Guys!

So, i was thinking about buying GW1 and playing through it mostly for the lore/story aspect, but also for the HoM. Graphics and outdated game mechanics (no jumping etc), is not an issue for me. I’ve read many guides and 30/50 HoM looks “easy”, just takes time.

Now, i wonder about the 50/50 for the GWAMM tittle, no guides mentions how to get the remaining 20 points, so i assume this is the hardest and grindiest(?) part of the whole endeavour.

Do you guys know what must be done for the last 20 points? Would you point me to a guide or something else that could help me with this?

Thanks a lot!

50/50 is a BIG grind. It was fun when GW1 was active, but I don’t know that it would be much fun today. It takes enormous amount of money and massive time-grind on titles unlike pretty much anything in GW2.

I had a lot of fun doing it at the time though, so if you get really into GW1 it might be worth it for you. I would liken it to making like 5 legendaries in GW2.

I want to point out that HoM 50/50 is not what gives the GWAMM title; there’s just a lot of overlap.

Getting GWAMM in GW2 is rewarded for getting the same title in GW1, which is a reward predating the HoM.
It requires maxing 30 reputation-like titles, similar to some achievements. These titles tend to help reach 50/50, but it’s quite possible to have GWAMM without 50/50; and reverse!

Edit:
To expand, now that I’m not on my phone: If you look at the HoM calculator (at https://hom.guildwars2.com/ ) there are five categories:

  • Devotion (Collecting Minipets)
  • Fellowship (relating to Heroes and Ranger Pets)
  • Honor (various accomplishments, primarily titles)
  • Resilience (collecting Prestige Armor sets)
  • Valour (collecting certain weapon sets)

God Walking Among Mere Mortals really only interacts with the Honor category. Getting GWAMM will almost certainly max out that section (worth 14 HoM points), but not actually on its own impact the other categories directly. It will of course produce opportunities to get a lot of the other stuff done, but there’s not a direct overlap.

With help from friends (providing minis and maps and a particular farm or two), getting 30/50 is easy and can be done in 40+ hours or less. Without help, it would take considerably longer, but unless you rush it, it’s less ‘grindy’ than a lot of lesser achievements in GW2.

50/50 on the other hand requires at least a few of the super grindy GW1 accomplishments; there’s just no fast way to manage it, even with help. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you really, really like GW1.

I see, thanks for your comments guys!
I think i will stick to the initial plan then, play GW1 stories and eventually get 30/50 with HoM!

The 50/50 can be enhanced with the GWAMM Title but you do not need it for that purpose. How to get 50/50 is just fill in the blanks. Look at what you have on the stages for example Armor. The information is right there for you it is account wide in some things and personal to character in others. Ok the armor part it will say you have elite armors of a certain kind you must get the entire set be in it and then you can display it. Now that will include Kurzick and Luxon armor too, but I think you may only need one of those. It also includes Obsidian Armor.

Mini pets another example you need certain levels of those at least one and a total of 20 it will tell you what you need. Pets and Hero’s now those will need their elite armor sets to display. Also you must capture the Black Moa and Black widow. The rainbow Phoenix does not count as the phoenix you need it must be a canthan one you capture that one after defeating shiro. Do you like elite missions if you do then you can put them in the hall along with titles FOW UW Urgoz The Deep Doa are all part of that.

Dungeons do not count for that part unless you are trying to get titles from the point system in it. Now getting the title for Luxon or Kurzick only level 4 is required it also gets you a monument to place. You can AB for it or you can vanquish or go on speed clears it does take time to get to Rank 12 though. All titles take time and you will need some to finish the hall to 50/50 just not all. Oh yea forgot about weapons try to get at least one full set of your favorite weapon type that go into the hall

The reason I know this is I do have 3 Gwamm’s but 4 full HOM’s. I am also kinda disappointed in what I received in GW2 for doing all that, and the fact if you pvp now you can get anything I worked for that I was disappointed with.
But it does have a really cool part when you make it 50/50 a light shines through the hole on the roof directly onto the statue on the wall.

If you go for GWAMM or 50/50, you may as well go for the other. While it is possible to earn one without getting the other, you’ll be so close that you may as well get it.

If you’re referring to the Legacy Armor Reward Track that has nothing to do with the Hall of Monuments. It awards the Apostle, Stalwart and Tribal armor sets, which share a name with the gem store legacy armor sets (Profane, Krytan and Primeval).

But neither of them have anything to do with the Heritage armor sets which are only obtainable from the Hall of Monuments.
