64-bit client
It hasn’t been “beta” for Windows for a while now. Now Mac 64-bit is beta and native Vs the 32-bit which uses the old Cider wrapper.
Well “beta” is a loose term.

Perhaps, but I had to download it to my PC. Did it “update itself” to a non-beta version?
Assuming you’re on a PC and have more than 4GB, it prefers to run the 64-bit version.
Unsure if you need to download anything, it’s been a pretty long time since 64-bit became the “standard”.

Good luck.
From the patch notes:
The 64-bit client is no longer in beta. The 32-bit client will now automatically switch to the 64-bit client if the conditions appear favorable.
I used to use the beta client, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t need to do anything to switch.
That answers all my questions. Thanks!
I actually had two different shortcuts, pointing to the two different clients. The 64-bit one was obsolete with that announcement, but I never saw it. Thank you!
Correction:
After trying the regular client, it updated both the 32 and 64 bit tmp files, but it didn’t update the exe file, which is dated way back in May. The 64-bit exe file was updated Friday, so I would think the main GW2.EXE file would be updated if it was used.
I have, and have always had, 2 GW2.exe shortcuts: one to the 64-bit client and one to the 32-bit client. I use the 2 at different times for different purposes. (Of course, they share the .dat file.)
I’ve always had to update them both, separately. The first will download whatever is on offer for that patch. The second will still update, but a much smaller download. (It doesn’t matter which order they are updated in.)
Well, I’m using one shortcut, which points to the 32-bit file. However, I think it actually executes the 64-bit one. Not 100% sure, though. I have to wait for an update.
