I’ve been working on making myself a fast leveling guide. I so far have it down to where I can get to 80 without crafting in roughly 43 hours or less. That only includes cooking.

What I do now is 1-17 doing PS and 100% completing the starter zone, thus unlocking all skills in the process, getting enough skill points to unlock utilities and so forth. After that I go to the farming zones of repeating events until 25. I then do cooking to get 35, and get my elite. After that I do some skill points and PoI’s, some hearts to get to 37 and then do a farming event to 45. I then do 1-375 artificing making potions. At 54-68 I do Hylek, Tequatl, and Krait in Sparkfly.

After 68… it takes the longest to level. I’ve thought of doing the Southern Invasion of Orr events in SoD, and then around 70-71 I was thinking of trying the events outside CoF, since they seem to happen often and people run that dungeon, thus it could be a bit of experience and people will be there.

75-80 I run through ML, getting a lvl or 2 from unlocking WPs or doing any of the easy events like the escorts or drake eggs. Running through to CS, I do the pent/Shelt/Jofast events to get to 80.

I was wondering if anyone has any better ideas or do these seem like the fastest? Or is there a simple, cheap, fast easy way to level another crafting discipline? Cooking is easy because… well… cooking is easy. And Artificing is easy because potions are very cheap and easy to make and the mats are everywhere.

Whenever I make a new character and want to level through it as fast as possible, this is the route I take:

Levels 1 through 17: Achieve 100% completion in your race’s starter zone.

Levels 17 through 35: Farm the event chain in Kessex Hills. The first event in this chain is located southwest of the Greyhoof Meadows Waypoint. You will need to break centaur worker morale to prevent bridge repairs, run southwest to the Overlord’s Greatcamp to kill the three centaur lieutenants, and lastly defeat the centaur overlord near Meremoot Hill. After that, just run back to the bridge and rinse and repeat.

Levels 35 through 45: Farm the event chain in Harathi Hinterlands. This event’s chain begins by stopping the centaurs from recapturing their camps. You will want to focus on Northpasture camp northwest of the Junction Camp Waypoint in Cloven Hoof Pass. There is usually a zerg of people here who will help you with these events. After defending the camp you will need to escort a nearby Captain to the Modniir Gorge where you will assault Kingsgate. The next step is to keep the Modniir from retaking Kingsgate. Despite common perception, you will actually want to fail this event to allow the chain to reset faster. If you complete the entire chain, then it will take MUCH longer to reset. Just go back to Northpasture camp to rinse and repeat.

Levels 45 through 70: Farm the event chain in Bloodtide Coast north of the Jelako Waypoint on Jelako Cliffrise. The event chain begins by defending the Hylek village from Risen. I would recommend failing this event. You will get a reward for attempting it, followed immediately by the opportunity to retake the village for even more experience. After this, you will need to escort one of the villagers to a cave southwest of the village to gather eggs. After that, just rinse and repeat. Also, take note that the escort event is player-started, so find the villager and run the event ASAP.

Levels 70 through 80: Farm the event chain in the Staits of Devastation. It begins at the Lonepost Waypoint northwest of Shark’s Teeth Archipelago. You will need to defend the post from waves of risen. After this, you will need to escort a group of pact soldiers to the conservatory near the Blighted Battlegrounds. There you will kill a Veteran Risen Wizard. Make sure to get the chest there before you leave (I’m not sure about it’s respawn time).

I admit that the level threshold during the Jelako Cliffrise event chain is pretty large, so that’s where I would probably do some crafting to raise my level to prevent extreme boredom due to the repetition.

Anyway, I hoped this helped, and good luck with your levelling !

The event in Kessex Hills is what I use for 17-25. After 25 it gets slow, boring, and dull. I prefer taking the easy 10 levels from crafting to get 25-35. 35 is too low for the Harathi event because it sometimes upscales to 45 enemies that can 1 shot you and you don’t get experience for killing them. I get a few skill points on my way to the area and complete some of the numerous events to get the 2 levels. It’s easy and probably even faster than getting the 2 levels at the Harathi events.

At 45 it takes me about 15 minutes to get to 54 from the potion making to 375. The mats are cheap and it’s a very easy method. You also don’t get any inventory issues. With the cooking and potions, you get an extra +20xp per kill, which in some events is really fast.

54-68 I do the Hylek and Krait events, along with Tequatl should he spawn. There almost always is an event happening near the Hyleks, and same with the Ash Horizon. When I leveled my engineer, I could easily solo that event and complete it in about 30 seconds by swimming from the Hyleks to the front of the boat, killing the few enemies there and just spamming bombs and it goes down in a heartbeat… much faster than attacking from the camp.

68-75 is my biggest issue. I haven’t seen the bloodtide coast event, but I’d think doing the hyleks would be faster, but after the levels it gets boring. I’m thinking of taking this time to do AC 6 paths, which should be at least 73, and then making my voyage to CS.

I haven’t had any issues until the levels 68-75.

Go back and do all the hearts, best advice ever I went from 50 – 80 in 2 days at minimal playing.
