As of now, after buying HOT a while ago, and now POF, I have two level 80 boosts that I have no interest in (so far).

I do not yet have a toon in every profession and so want to use my shared slot from the POF purchase to level something new. I ignored the boost from HOT and leveled a new toon with the additional slot, so I still have that sitting there. I plan on doing the same now.

Is there any good way to get rid of the boosts? Should I just create a character, boost it, then delete it to free up the shared inventory slot?

Some sort of trade-in value for the boosts would be nice for those of use who do not want to use them.

You can always use it on a current L80 if you just want the stuff that comes with it.

What if all my characters are already level 80?

You can choose to either create a new character or to consume the boost with one of your existing level 80 characters. Using the boost on a level 80 character will deliver the package of rewards that is normally delivered when making the boost permanent. However, there is no trial for an existing level 80 character, so the item will be permanently consumed if it is used by a level 80 character. You will need to confirm twice before the item is consumed if you want to use it on an existing level 80

If you just want the one shared inventory slot and are OK with keeping the 2nd one occupied for now, you don’t actually have to do anything.

The two level 80 boosts actually stack. I still had my first one from HoT as well, and just now when I bought PoF I went into my inventory and saw that boost had hit 2 stacks and I now just had a free open shared inventory slot available where the 2nd boost would have gone.

JT, I had forgotten you could use it on an existing 80 character. And, Electro, I just saw that now, too.
