Good evening, afternoon and what ever time you may be reading this at. This is just a little helping hand to those who are having trouble doing their dailies in limited time. Personally, I am a very casual player, but I will come on for about 20 to 40 minutes a day to get my dailies done because I am not adverse to the “chore” feel to it that everyone is complaining about. I have thus posted this to help anyone with time constraints, and please not let this turn into a daily discussion thread; we have enough of those already!

Disclaimer: I do not claim to be superior to anyone reading this thread, and I apologise if I make any blank statements, though I will try to keep these to a minimum.

Following are the ways i do the daily requirements quickly. I will assume that you have at least one 80 at your disposal and have the money to WP, or serveral that you can keep stationed around tha place (which is what I do). I would reccomend using the Gw2 interactive map (search in google) if you are confused about where I mean.
1. Daily kills – I would reccomend waypointing to anywhere near a centaur camp in Kryta, as the mobs are easy to kill and respawn very rapidly. See Kessex Hills, Gerrandan Fields and Harathi Hinterlands.
2. Daily Gathering – My favourite spot is just north-west of Thistlereed Waypoint in Timberline falls. If you follow the hill up, you will see a Veteran Jotun guarding a cauliflower patch. Kill him, and harvest the cauliflowers. Then jump off the cliff into the water (dw this is obvious when you are there). Turn around, and swim into the cave (these is a large opening underwater). You will find a Rich Mithril Vein. If this is not yet 20 gatherings, these are 2 mitrhil nodes at about 5 seconds swin, and sometimes a gold node right infront of the cave.
3. Veteran Daily kills – I would reccomend porting to Irondock Shipyard waypoint in Plains of Ashford. Make your way west and you should come across a cave on your left. Inside, there are 4 to 5 veteran Sparks or Skelks than respawn very quickly, and they should be easy to kill for any moderately geared level 80 as they are only level 12 from memory.
4. Daily dodges – Some of the easiest attacks in the game to dodge are those of the basic Ice Elementals, as they are slow moving and easy to see projectiles. I would reccomend teleporting to somewhere like Wide Expanse waypoint in Dredgehaunt cliffs, and there are about 5 elementals directly south, as well as some jotun to the west.
5. Daily kill variety – this is the only one I can’t be much help for, but the starter zones (such as Plains of Ashford, Queensdale, and my particular favourite Caledon forest) seem to have the largest variety within the individual zone.
6. Aquatic Kills – teleport of Grawlenfjord waypoint in Wayfarer Foothills, and make your way north to the water. There are about 15 white fish (which count) that you can kill easily and some level 3 skelk to the south by the entrance to the cave in which a skillpoint can be found. This can also be done in the same place as daily veteran kills as above.
7. Daily healer – Just north of Nebo Terrace Waypoint in Gerrandan Fields, where a tonne of Human soldiers are lying there, just waiting for a kind soul to come along and rez them. Be warned , a lot of people know this, so be prepared to use swiftness to get from body to body!
8. Daily events – the best place for this is again north of Nebo Terrance Waypoint in Gerrandan Fields, but a lot of 80’s are doing this so it can be difficult to tag. Cursed shore is still a great option, as are the southern areas in Dredgehaunt Cliffs.
9. Daily crafter – just port to your Borderlands in WvW, and even if you dont have a 400 crafting profession, learn one refine some raw materials that you are sure to have hanging around. Raw materials are never part of recipies, only the refined versions, so what you are really doing is clearing space in your materials tab!
10. Laurel vendor – well…. What can i say? Teleport to the nearest city and run to the vendor; nothng could be easier!

And there you have it; a way to get dailies done in limited time. I am open to suggesttions and will update this if i get a chance. I apologise for spelling errors!

Keep in mind that, except #6 and #9, all of them can be done quite fast and easy in WvW aswell.

Thanks! I’ll keep your guide in mind the next time I am doing my dailies (School keeps me busy plus it’s my final exams next week)

Frostgorge by the area where Claw spawns is a great place too. You’ve got a lake with a DE to res refugees, plus the Kodons who die regularly right by the wp north of Earthshake. You’ve got a bunch of stuff to gather, you’ve got the ice worms with their easily dodgable rock throw(usually nets 2-3 evade messages per rock) plus all the Grawls that run around in packs of 3…I can usually do almost my entire daily just waiting for Claw to spawn and doing the battle.

Too much waypointing around (in OP)/ The cost doesn’t justify the rewards. Or the time if you are running and using the mists.
All on one map close to one waypoint is the way go. (I tend to use the Queensdale Vale too). I’ll have to try the Frostgorge one.

About the only things it doesn’t provide is crafting stations and laurel vendors, but those are basically the easiest things possible to get. You can probably even find 15 different mob types around, though that might require a bit of hunting around.

Wurms are better for daily dodges, every stone dodged counts twice and their attack rate is quite slow (especially those Ice Wurms’).

Right, finishing off by going to Lion’s is free then I just go back to Whispers (free with a quick walk) and am back in Cursed Shore (free again as a whispers agent).

No…they don’t count twice. Just did it in Frostgorge today. They are among the easiest, but not twice…unless it’s a class thing. I was on my ranger.

As to the OP’s topic…seriously? Did we need a guide? Has everyone NOT read the millions of posts stating how dailies are done without swaying from the normal gaming routine?

Wurm projectile attacks DO sometimes count twice, if you dodge at exactly the right moment. I think it’s because their attacks actually have two potential hits; one when the projectile hits you, and another which is an AoE splash attack when it hits the ground. However, if you get hit directly by the projectile, the splash attack doesn’t occur.

Sorry, can you explain this quick shortcut to Cursed Shore and Lion’s Arch?
Thanks.

The right moment being when the stone is in the air, which is like a second or two, if you stand far enough. I don’t recall it ever not counting twice.

This is accurate, and actually applies to many similar attacks since several ranged attacks have this AoE component.

But then if you want to cheese that achievement, just dodge into a WvW zerg, through fire, or into a group of mobs that AoE (grubs, oozes, greatsword berserker type mobs etc.). No need to actually try and see what you’re dodging :P

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. not quite cursed shores but close enough.
You can get to Lions’s Arch free from anywhere by entering WvW or PvP.
Go to the Blood Coast Waypoint and enter Blood Coast. Swim across the lake and enter the instance in the cave by Deadend Waypoint. It’s the Chantry of Secrets. In the cave is an arch that takes you directly to Fort Trinity in the Straits of Dev. I believe you have to belong to whispers to use it. The other orders have similar gates.

I also use Vale for everything except crafter and healer… Where can you get healer within a 1 minute run from Vale? (although the troll is always good enough to supply 1 or 2)

One thing that helped me with the daily dodger – dodge toward the mob. My habit was to always dodge away, so most of the time I wouldn’t evade the hit, I would just be out of range and it would miss. If you dodge toward the mob, you don’t have to go looking for particular mobs, you can just get it done in the course of your normal playing.

Also of note for the daily, one of the best places in my opinion : Thaumanova reactor in the Metrica Province.

It’s only lvl 15. There’s a few events that can pop in inside. You have more then enough types of mobs that spawn there to do the kill variety daily. There’s downed researcher’s everywhere to be found. There’s a few Vets in and around the place and some of the events are of the kill veteran mob type.

As for dodging, find any spot with earth elementals that start a fight with creating a rock line that applies stacks of cripple. Start the fight, use your two dodge through the line of moving rocks (usually gives you 1 or 2 dodges per roll), kill the elemental, wait for your stamina to come back, engage the nearest earth elemental, rince, repeat. Takes about 2 minutes to be done with it. The best place to do that would be in the plains of Ashford, in the field over the crypt where you fight against duke Baradin in the Charr starting instance. You can easily engage 2 or 3 elementals there, which makes you do 4 to 12 dodges at the very beginning of the fight.
