Well there comes a time in every players life where things become stale and dull, and the need of something new arises and breaths life back into the sails of the players ship.

I am looking for some direction for my sails to blow in and am wondering if I could get some help?

I am looking for a in-demand class that will be welcomed into groups, be in with guildies/friends or a random pug for a dungeon/fractal.

I tend to like well balanced classes that can be adaptive to the role they need to fill, something with mobility and proper utility skills to support one self as well as the party. I like solid classes that can fit rolls such as bursty dps / support / condi dmg ect. I want to be useful in groups and be a welcomed addition to those random pugs. While playing underdog classes can be fun, having to beg and plead to enter a group when I feel like grouping is well, unwanted. Outside of grouping I plan on farming zones as well as wvw’ing with my guildies.

So please if you could, lend me some help, I would very most appreciate it!

  • On a sidenote I have heard that Ranger’s pets may be getting a nice buff when it comes to their stats scaling with ours (the rangers.) if so that would be cool.

1: every class is welcome in a good groups. groups that are refusing a class are groups not worthy of your talent cause they stink and are smelly.
2: the amount of welcomness i told bout in point 1 depends on your personal qualitiy’s. the first thing that people might judge you on is your gaming skill. But other things count as well. e.g. your friendlyness and you kindness. I know that the best guildleaders are great at leading but incredible bad players.
3: don’t feel uncomfertable cause of what others are saying. judge yourself.

There are no underdog classes
There are no set rules to make you wanted
There are no ways of being popular on demand

Be proud of what you are and understand that anyone who disagrees with you more a looser then they want you to believe you are yourself.

While this was uplifting, sadly most people in/on this game prefer certain classes over others, and while playstyle and personal taste does factor in, I believe that I can adapt well to a more core of the group class, and I am just wanting some insight on what my post had in it.

First thing i thought of was a Mesmer. They are a lot of fun to play (cool animations as well) and are usually in demand for parties. Mesmers have a lot of skills that benefit people around them the main ones that are expected for you to have would be timewarp (maybe not as much since the patch) and portal in wvw.

I second Mesmer. It is an incredibly fun class, very versatile, great survivability and great utility.
You can adapt it to any playstyle and Mesmers are good at all parts of the game.
I like mesmers so much I have two, my main is a full condition specced/geared monster and my second Mesmer is specced for power, precision, crit. They play very differently as a result.

I third Mesmer. I’ve played a few other professions to 80 but none have felt as fun or as satisfying to me as my Mesmer.
Almost every utility skill we have will be useful to you and your party at one point or another, so it’s fun to switch things around in between fights to fit the situation.
