Hey all, new player, and I have a few questions if you’d be so kind.

1. Is the powersuit racial ability of the Asura the only “mech” the player has access to in the game? (I like the idea of fighting in a mech, but it doesn’t sound like the racial ability works well in the long term.)

2. Is the Ranger the only pet class?

3. Does the game have BIG pets? Something I really enjoyed about older games like Anarchy Online, and SWG was the ability to capture absurdly large pets.

1. I think so, and yes racial in general are not as good as their class counterparts (though there is a few exception for some builds/situations)

2. Depend on your definition of “pet”, mesmer have illusions (clones and phatasms) for instance that server more as distraction and disappear, when you shatter them or the target they are attached to is killed, but with the right build you can pump out clones constantly. necromancer have some undead pets too, that actually stay more, but ofc you sacrifice other skills to summon them, but neither have the control of their pet a ranger have.

3. again how big are you looking at? the salamander drake imo seem rather big, and well not had a ranger very high myself i havent really seen all ranger pets in the game

1. Yes. There is the powersuit but I think that is the only mech out there.
2. Necromancers have minions. Does that count? If not, then yes, only rangers have pets.
3. I haven’t seen anything big. So I am going to say no. No BIG pets. Sorry.
