"A fungus among us"... Belo for me ????
The #2 is both buggy and unreliable. I guess you can aim for where you want to go before you use the #2 skill. The option to “Lock Ground Target at Maximum Skill Range” is also helpful since it basically reduces your aiming from being 2 dimensional(angle and distance) to a single dimension(angle only).
2nd skill is a double press skill. The first press lands you on your head and then the second press launches you to your target.
Fixed. Starting with a # causes a number list.

What simplesimon said (clarifying, it’s skill 2, not 1). The thing is the first part hops you forward, often to your doom. So you need to learn to stand back a bit from your intended launch point, put your cursor over your landing spot, press 2, wait a moment for the hop, then make sure your green target circle in on the landing spot and immediately press 2 again.
I haven’t got gold yet, but silver is fairly easy so long as I don’t mess up my aim on the three spots I use the 2-leap for. (those being at the top of the first slope, on the lattice of branches over the chasm, and from the base path up to the final checkpoint).
I have a couple settings that really help me with this. First, I have my ground targeting lock at max range, so it is easier to target. Also, I have it set up so that when I hold down 2 the ground target displays, and when I release the skill activates.
Then what I do is I put my cursor where I want to go and spam the skill until it activates. This won’t work if you click your skills. With the targeting technique I described, but it reliably activates the skill despite the small window of time you have to use it.
Skill clicking makes this one very hard.
The Edge of Oblivion [EDGE]
… There are people who click their skills?
Yeah – the thing about Skill 2 is that it’s actually a chain skill, as simplesimon said. You want to learn how far the first jump is, so you can use the second to launch.
That said – You’ll want the “Return” key bound to something comfortable as well. I have Gold. It took a LOT of practice to get the jumps just right.
I made gold in fungus among us, but before I nearly broke my keyboard/mouse. Its extremely frustrating and kittenty mechanic and absolute horrible collision detection made this a nightmare. But keep trying. Ultimately you will be that lucky to get gold. Took me about 1-2 hours.
