Guild Wars 2

Heeeey. So I started playing GW2 again. I took a break for a few months, was playing when the game was released. Back then I was playing on the EU server called Desolation, so obviously I logged in, picked that server and started playing with my old character. But there is something that I noticed. It seems that its way more empty then it was back then, though it says the population is very high. I was wondering, is every1 just at higher level zones, wvwvw or something? It even feels like its dead compared to what it was back then. I dont even get thrown into overflow anymore. There are literally almost no people where I am at, so I cant even do events or kill bosses. So what I want to ask is this – is there a nice, highly populated EU server, where there are quite a lot new players/new characters? Because I am thinking about creating a new one, but I dont want to run trough empty fields. Thanks!

You say you aren’t thrown into overflow, but which? Chances are you will be in Lion’s Arch overflow because that’s where most people are while they LFG for Fractals groups. In case you’re wondering, Fractals the ANet’s version of an endless grind dungeon that PVE players have been salivating for.

Umm, okay. Thnx for ur post, but it didnt really answer my question – which EU server has the highest population and more new players, low levels etc.

Impossible to tell with any degree of accuracy since no one but the devs has access to real server statistics.

Hmm, okay. But what’s up with the server list? When I press the button to arrange all the servers by population, then the ones with very high population are not in a list according to alphabet, but in a random order. Maybe that’s because the ones on top actually have more players online? Mmm?

Not really. If you log off and back on you’ll notice that the list changes constantly with each log in. I highly doubt that the server on the top of the full or very high portion of the list would fall to the bottom of that list and back to the top again within a couple seconds. It’s more of just an odd grouping without any real reasoning behind it. Sorry to say.
