AC path 1 Burrows Split Tactic?

They destroyed the 3 Burrows that spawn on the ‘left’ side of the room. See Strife’s guide:

I am familiar with the 1 player guards Hodgins while the rest dps the burrows in order tactic. However one time we split the group with 3 starting at Hodgins and 2 starting at the first burrow as normal (I was part of the two man team on the first two burrows as normal). Im pretty sure that before I even made it back to Hodgins after killing our two burrows that the three man team had downed the next three burrow including the one by the stairs. Fastest I have seen that room done. Then the party leader said “Split method works every time” or something like that. Can anyone explain this method as I did not see what the three man team did. Killed the burrows I guess that is obvious but an explaination would be appreciated. Thank you.
