Hey!

I am new to this game and it’s been a long time since i played MMORPG, so i have few questions about “home server”-thing

I have understood that i can choose only one server to play at and changing server costs something and so on, but what if i delete all my characters, can i change my server without paying?

When i play PvP, is it only against players on my own home server? ( not WvWvW-thing, but smaller matches.)

There is or is going to be something like guesting, so if i have friends on 8 servers, we can all go to one server without any payments?

Also, if there is something that i Should know, go on and tell.
Thank you.

Hi Caini

Firstly, have a read through the first post here for some hints and tips about gameplay.

Secondly, yes you have a home server. Currently you can transfer to a different server every 24hrs for free but this is only temporary whilst populations settle and Anet sort out the guesting feature which is due to be introduced. After this stops you will still be able to make a server move but it will cost (probably gems). However, if guesting is in place then you should still be able to play with friends on other servers.

Not sure about PvP as I haven’t played it – hopefully someone else can answer this for you.

You should know that it is possible to do dungeon runs now with people from other servers as long as they are invited into your party and enter the dungeon on their server at the same time as you do on yours. It is also possible to chat cross-server so you’re not completely isolated from people you may know on different servers.

Hope this helps.
