Q:
About money transfer and the Golden title
A:
1. Is it legal for me to ask for a friend to send me 200g so I can deposit it and easily get the title?
2. Can it be considered an exploit or something?
3. Is ANET still tagging people who transfers a huge quantity of gold through mail as gold-sellers (and hence suspending their accounts?)
Thanks for the attention!
1. It is.
2. It’s not exploit
3. For obvious reason ANET can’t explain how the anti-RMT mechanism work, but from my (little) research it’s not simple as “You send 100g and you are banned for gold-selling” like some people claim.
I’m almost 99% sure that system before tagging check if both players are “friends”. For example it check for thing like: are they in the some guild?, did they do dungeons or event together? Form a party and how often etc.
The other thing is that you are banned for both gold-selling and gold-buying. In most cases that people were banned after receiving money from friends are cases where the other person(that friend) is tagged for gold-buying. Since you received money from person that is proven guilty or is involved in RMT, you can get banned too.
So for your third question if both you and your friend was not involved in RMT you are safe.

Do moderators really think other players can help me with that? Shouldn’t a ANET spokesman point to a reliable answer?
It looks like I’m going to find out about it by myself, and I hope this post can serve as a proof that I am doing it after waiting 3 days for a response.
After I sold a precursor, I deposited 200g, and sent a friend the same amount who deposited it and then sent it back. This was quite a while ago. I don’t see it as an issue, really.

.1 – Legal, but dubious.
.2 – It might get you banned for gold trading. If you do, talk with support both you and your friend and explain.
.3 – Sure is (i hope so at least).
Cheers
The case is that I need 30 more gold for the achievement but I want to spend my 170 gold asap in something I really want to, so instead of spending it and starting the achievement from zero, I would get some of his money to reach 200 and then feel free to use mine as much as I want. It is just about time, so I don’t think it’s too mortifying.
I’m actually not asking for how it works, but we have seen some cases of people getting banned because they were sending gold to friends (the most famous being Dulfy’s one). I am free from any RTM case, and pretty sure so does he, so I think we will do it and hope for the best.
Thanks for the answers, even though I would feel more comfortable with an official response.

I know friends that have done this in the past, there is nothing wrong with sending gold around so everyone can get this achievement.
