Q:
Is there anything I can do if I accidentally sold an item to the merchant and didn’t realize it? I checked buyback menus frantically, but to no avail, as I think I left WvW after using a merchant.
The item is worth 120g. Am I screwed?
Edit: Also checked banks, not in there.

Unfortunately, that item is gone. The only way you could’ve saved it in that case would’ve been to buy it back from the merchant while still in the merchant window.
just be thankful your not one of those guys who salvage their legendaries by accident..lol
Sorry to hear you lost an item that expensive. I guess my only recommendation to you would be to earn an Invisible Bag for all your gear/utilities that you don’t want to accidentally sell to a merch.
Been there, done that.
Bought an invisible bag (you still have to be careful if swapping weapon sets)
Had you not switched zones, it would have been in the Buy Back menu. Unfortunately it disappears when you do change.
To avoid this, it would be wise to invest in special bags or making sure to pay more attention when selling rares or above.
Sorry mate, i think you’ve lost out, very bad mistake unfortunately
A suggestion for this problem. Have a way to lock an item so that it can’t be accidentally sold or salvaged until unlocked by the player.

THIS. So hard.
I can be absent-minded at times, and I’d like to be able to prevent myself from being on auto-pilot and selling off things I’ve transmuted or salvaging things I meant to keep.
As mentioned above, use invisible bags to store your weapons and realize that every time you change weapons to a 2H from 2-1H, you expose the last weapon changed out to not being protected at the merchant.
Yeah I like how we cannot easily delete or sell stuff like fun-in a box, and finishers, but that same care is not added to exotics, ascended, or legendarys. It asks if your sure, if you accidentally click to salvage them, but not if you click to sell them.
