So I am really interested in creating Sinister gear for my Guardian and Thief, but I am trying to figure out how account bound recipes work because I never paid attention, and at 400 bandit crests a pop I need to know.

So if I buy: Recipe: Sinister Intricate Gossamer Insignia. Does it unlock on all my armor crafting disciples? Tailor, Leather work and Armor smith?

For example if my Guardian buys and uses the recipe for his armor crafting, will my thief have to also buy the recipe and unlock for her leather working , or will it show up in her recipes because My guardian unlocked it account wide?

It only unlocks on the alt that uses it. However, as long as you know which alt has it, you don’t need it more than once. That alt can make the insignia and put it in the bank for the alt making the final item.

Ok so My armorsmith can make insignias and drop them in the bank for my leather worker to withdraw and make leather armor?

Yes. Exactly this. This is how I’ve done most of the ascended insignia recipes. I keep putting them all on one profession too so I don’t have to hunt does my armorsmith know this one or is it leatherworker?

What I do is to make sure I have only one character learn all the inscriptions and insignia (I’m lucky that I have a single character with a weapon and an armor discipline maxed to 500).

That way, I always know where to go to craft those items or to check if I have unlocked them in the first place (otherwise, I’d have to track on a spreadsheet, which gets old).
