Achievement points... ever going to be of use?
I was wondering about this as well. Great question!
As far as I’d heard(And I’m not sure this is the case any longer), ANet was going to include a way to buy things with your points, especially since you can keep getting them forever.
But given that they’ve added ‘counters’ to them in guild windows, then it might just be a sort of ‘show-off-y’ thing to show how long you’ve been playing and such.

That is a good idea. A tiered reward system. I like it.
Would be nice, since dailies and monthlies also give points.
