Adding 2nd Account for Bank and Character Slots?
i’m not sure that you can link 2 accounts. Would it not be cheaper/easier just to add bank and character slots to the account you alrady have?
Each character adds to storage needs, so too many characters on one account, even with all the bank slots, strains the storage limit.
Just use a character as a bank. It’s much cheaper than linking accounts. Just expand the storage for items that are soul bound. Still much cheaper than buying a second account which you can’t link anyway.
Please don’t tell me that your bank will be featured on the next episode of hoarders. Just kidding!
I don’t think there is any way to link to accounts together. You could add the other account to your friends list, maybe put them both in the same guild (assuming the guild are ok with this) but for all intents and purposes the game treats each account as a seperate person.
Like other people have said I think it’s be easier and cheaper to just buy a character slot and use their bags to store stuff. Just keep them in a town near the bank and use them to store items you don’t need regular access to. But if you really want a second account I think the only way is to register it as normal.

Has anyone tried creating a guild and using that bank for extra storage?

You can do this if you want but it will take awhile to unlock if you’re solo.
You can buy influence for 2 gold per thousand from the Guild promoters. It appears to cost 2,000 influence and almost 5 days to research the bank. So, 4 gold and less than a week and you can have an additional 50 Guild Vault slots to store your treasures in. However, you won’t be able to access them from crafting stations, making it less convenient to me.
The problem with having a mule for storage is the cost of bags. By the time you equip a mule or two it seems like it would be more expensive than buying a second account and expanding storage there too.
What’s the limit of character slots?
Only a few silver for the 10 slot bags I think. You can also keep remaking accounts and save the extra bag.
You can make 8 slot bags at fairly low levels of either tailor or leatherworker and I don’t think they cost much, especially if you farm the materials.
But honestly if you’re finding that there isn’t enough storage space with all the bank tabs and you’re concerned about the cost of creating a mule (which implies you’re expecting to need multiple high-slot bags) I think it might be time to reconsider whether you really need all the items you’re keeping.
I have no idea what it is you’ve got in the bank, but I can’t imagine what you’d need to keep that would take up all that space.

Another problem is mules/guild banks can’t hold soul bound items.
My mule character and bought guild bank are useless to me because I can’t put all the extra armor sets I have for all my 80’s.
That’s why you save the bank for those items and the rest go to mules.
For the nosy inquisitive: I don’t unlock dyes on a character until I play her enough to be committed to her, so I save lots of dyes. I also save armor with skins I like while leveling (like personal story unique skins.) I’m playing multiple characters, so stuff adds up.

That would be wonderful if there was anything in my 9-row bank that wasn’t soul bound.
