Q:
Adnul Irongut..
I wrote a guide on how to beat Belcher’s Bluff a while ago. Check it out:

Sadly, Adnul requires a healthy dose of luck to beat if you’re fighting him legally. (The odds are heavily stacked in his favour; see the “Special Notes” for him.) If you really can’t get past him, there’s a few sneaky tricks you can do to even the odds:
- Use a Rejuvenation Booster. Other health gain foods are removed when the match starts, but the Booster still works, and could be enough to tip the odds in your favour.
- Plant a Warrior Banner of Defense and Tactics nearby, close enough to affect you, but NOT Adnul.
- Outright cheat by using a Box O’ Fun. Put it down next to you, set it to Petrify mode, start the match, then immediately petrify yourself. You are invulnerable while petrified, and so you can just sit there and laugh at Adnul as he slowly drinks himself to death against a statue.

Not sure if this is either fixed, or I’m doing it wrong, but I can’t seem to petrify myself once the match starts.
EDIT: Yeah, they fixed the Box o’ Fun, as well as the rejuvenation boosters, but not his damage-to-health ratio. Thanks, Anet!

Dang, that sucks.
Could you perhaps use the Box, but quickly start the match before it finishes petrifying you? Or is it removing the effect as soon as you start?

Late reply whoops
It removes the effect as the match starts, so I think I’m just gonna have to get lucky during a match.
