Advice for azura jumping

hmm if anything, it takes getting used to, but don’t rely on the graphics of your little guy. rather, try to use a focal point and make your jumps that way. know that he can jump a lot further than he looks.
i’d imagine distance, and making the right judgment in terms of timing could be the issue. use a top-down view on your camera angle when making “harder” jumps. has done wonders for me in terms of jumpin gin this game. keep practicing! and you’ll get used to your asura jumping.

I am the opposite. I have no problems jumping with my asura, but trouble with my human toon. It is because the camera angles and some of the low ceilings get in the way Being shorter made it a little easier lol
you have to learn to ignore your character’s flailing about. it really doesn’t effect your jumping, just your concentration. I don’t pay much attention to where i am going FROM but where I am going TO. then I don’t focus on the klutziness of my darling asura.
i hold down the right mouse button to lock the camera to my hand and strafe with A and D when needed. makes jumping 10 times easier imho.
I need advice or hints on how to jump better on my azura. How do you recommend setting up your camera?
You had some good tips above.
However, what profession do you have? You might have some helpful jumping related skills which can help.
For example, I’m an Asuran Engineer. My rifle’s Jump Shot ability comes in real handy when there is a large jump I am unsure of.
all races have the same amount of footing regardless of size,
in the case of asura it means they can step out into thin air before they jump.
try edging off of objects to find the exact amount of leeway you have.
learn the ways of slowing down in mid-air, or jumping at walls to slow you down.
i change the camera offset to far left or far right depending on which way i am jumping. zoomed in, you get a nice over the shoulder view.
as an asura, when navigating beams, i jump diagonally to them, instead of at them directly. i tend to over jump beams, so jumping diagonally onto them compensates for the extra distance covered, or jumping from farther back.
i practice jumping on barrels and stairways around the world, and use rocks on the ground for place markers.

I think with all characters practice is the key. Not just doing jump puzzles and vistas but any time. Try to climb the scenery pretty much anywhere you can. It gives you practice jumping, an idea of the kinds of things you can jump onto vs. what’s just decoration with no platform to it and every so often you find a puzzle you didn’t know was there.
I recently went back and re-did Morgan’s Spiral, which was the first jump puzzle I completed. The first time I did it (at launch) it took me numeous attempts and a fair bit of luck. This time I did it on the first try and found it fairly easy, even though I hadn’t used that character for a while.

I’m surprised, I find jumping with an asura so much easier than any other race. I think its because you have the illusion of having much more space to land and you feel like you’re running faster/jumping further
I haven’t jumped much on my charr, but from what I have done it’s not great as you can’t really tell where your feet are.
Apart from that I find it hardest on norn, obvious reason being that about 80% of the time the camera is either in a wall or in you. But also because they feel much slower and like you just… might… not …make it. Pity as my treasured main is a norn
