As a tall Norn female I’m envious of dainty human females I see skipping and jumping as they travel. When I jump I make an unattractive grunt and move in a ker-plunk way that looks clumsy. So I made a human female to try out the movement, but she also grunts and goes ker-plunk, arms held out awkwardly when she runs. Both were heavy-armor characters.

Does either armor type or character size affect movement animation in terms of gracefulness? (I do know big = slower.) Why doesn’t my human move like a dancer like the others I see? Do tiny humans move more gracefully than tall ones?

Maybe they have swiftness of some sort applied, giving an illusion of gracefulness?

Thieves and Elementalists can have a passive 25% speed bonus. After playing with them, my female Norn also feels like she’s an orangutang.

Warrior, Necro, Ele, Thief, Ranger all get passive 25% movement speed through either a trait or signet. the others may also, but i’m not sure off-hand.

Speed might be what gives the graceful look. Is seems like AntiGw feels more graceful playing humans, but I’m not sure it’s the slowness that makes the orangutang comparison, or the grace.
