Is the function to part infusions from infusion sockets still possible in the game? without destroying either item.

I believe so. I have not tested the item, but once you have Fractal Mastery Tier 1 you can talk to the golem near the repair golem in the Fractal lobby and get teleported to a floating island. There is an asura merchant there who has extractors for something like 25 silver. I think they are on his second tab? I’d have to go in and look to tell you exact amounts and what the tooltip says about safely extracting infusions.

I extracted 14 of mine yet still i can’t tell you exact amount of silver i belive it’s 15 silver and if you have 2 infusions it extracts it both, item remains intact. Like Donari said, unlock first fractal mastery and you can teleport to vendor who sells it in fractals.

The extraction tool sells for 24s and will safely pull from Offensive/Defensive slots as well as the infusion slots.
