Guild Wars 2

Hello all! First post, thought I’d ask a question for you.

I currently have a level 80 Sylvari Mesmer, and I am loving it. However, I would like a melee/close-combat ranged alt to “go with” my Mesmer. I’m currently leaning towards the Norn race. Storyline is very important to me.

I DO NOT want Guardian or Engineer, as I find them too… bland.

So my 3 to choose from is Warrior, Ranger, and Thief.
I like all three classes.

I know there is no “best” class, however I would like your personal opinion on which 3 is your favorite. I want the class to be, in your opinion, well-versed in all aspects of the game, PVE, Dungeons, WvWvW, s/tPVP, exploration, etc.

Wait, wait, wait… you’re playing Mesmer without going melee? Do you not realize how overly strong Blurred Frenzy (mainhand sword) is?

No, I play melee as a mesmer, I’m talking about one class that doesn’t use.. magic.

In PvE I can say that your choice should be warrior! Easy to level, great damage, good survivability, good swiftness for explo and you wont have much trouble getting into a dungeon party. In general you will have a good time with the warrior in most PvE content!
And I just started a thief alt (main=warr) and have to admit that I love that one too. Bit squishier though, but if played the right way lots of fun too!
