I’m trying to get the Ancient Stone Summit Shoulder Spike for my treasure hunter collection and the event never seems to start. I also can’t seem to find any information on the wiki about how to start it.

Any suggestions?

The event is almost perpetually bugged on the “main” instance of that map. Your only chance of getting it are to get on a new version of the map (created when the “main” one is filled) or park yourself in that zone right when a new patch goes in, in hopes you catch it before it bugs out again.

The event bugs pretty often. Your best bet until they fix it is to go to the area soon after a patch, before it has a chance to bug.

If you have a large guild that’s willing to help, you can have them all go to Timberline Falls at the same time in an attempt to create a new server, where the event will be unbugged. That would require 100-200 players, at least, operating in unison though.

Same issue. Frequently broken. Been like this for ages for both. At least they tried fixing Dobbs once.

In Pursuit Of Knowledge and the Font of Rhand event chains also bug sometimes, though for Font of Rhand, at least there’s now an army of mesmers portaling people into the boss chamber.

Ogre Wars, Dobbs and the Commissar event chain are all frequently bugged. (And it’s telling when the Exotics they drop are far, far more expensive than the ones that can be reliably farmed.) An Anet dev did post in the Bugs forum saying they’re aware of the bugs and are working on them, however.

Thanks everyone…I found this evening that right after reset is pretty much the only time to get them. I’ve posted my less played toons on two accounts at all their locations so I hopefully I’ll get luckly with two chances a reset for something good.
