Engineer, ’nuff said. Build him into condition damage with 3 weapon kits for maximum buttons.
Sounds like you might like playing the Ranger.
Working on: Engineer
Ranger or mesmer maybe worth a try.
Seconding the engie suggestion – bit of a learning curve & requires good knowledge of game mechanics to maximize efficiency, possibly the most versatile class and able to bring a lot to a party. Has perma-swiftness from trait, a targeted leap skill (rifle 5), nice getaway utilities if it comes to that (slick shoes + rocket boots). It might take a while to get used to swapping kits/weapons/utilies at first but it’s very worth it.
Coming back into GW2. I haven’t played seriously since just a bit after release, even though I praise the game regularly. I think one of the main problems for me was that I was never able to really click with a class.
I’m looking for a utility class, with some damage. I’m not a fan of tanks, and I play PvE much more regularly than PvP. I like having mobility and/or room to outplay or outsmart my opponents by using all the mechanics in the game, rather than just running up to something and auto-attacking it to death.
Thanks for the help! If you need me to provide any more detail or clarification, I can definitely do that.
If you like playing smart, pick mesmer. Also follow this guy and watch his solo videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/sanderinoa Here is my recent interview with him: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Final-Round-Best-of-2014-Fractals-Dungeons/4650602 I also like to ask that I was feeling lukewarm about mesmer until Sandy took me under his wings and showed me what it can do. It is a very cool class.
