im not very good with all of this build stuff, im a level 80 ranger, does anyone have any suggestions for a decent build?

if by playstyle u mean weapons, then longbow / greatsword

Well not really. What do you want to do with your ranger? Role wise. Longbow/greatsword is my fav combo actually. I use it right now. Also do you want this build for PvE, dungeons, WvW, or sPvP?

i prefer pve atm

If solo PVE, try short bow with a condition build. Let your pet tank; you plink away from the flank. Non-stop killing/harvesting.

In events, Longbow is best for tagging multiplke mobs with barrage. Be warned though… aftert the speed of shortbow you will feel very slow using a longbow.

I agree with Joey about checking the Ranger forum. There is a sticky thread for people to post their builds. There are plenty of web sites with examples.

There is no BEST way except your way.
