Other than the obvious suggestion of limiting gameplay time, does anyone have any suggestions for optimal monitor position, posture, etc. for combating this problem?

According to the admin and HR department at work (it’s a small company, so they’re one person) you essentially want to be sitting straight with your head level and then your eyes should be level with the top of the screen.

At home I make some allowance for the fact that my screen is huge by having my eye level about 3/4 of the way up and (crazy as it sounds) look up as well as down.

Edit: Also if you’re playing on a laptop the exact same applies. In spite of the name it’s best not to have it on your lap if you’re going to use it for a long period of time. Best option is to put it on a table and maybe lean the screen back a little bit too.

Thanks for the informative replies! I made some tweaks to my setup – I’ll report whether or not it helps.
