EX) If I hover over my steal ability, which has 900 range, is there a way for it to show like a circle around my character what 900 range is while hovering over it? Like in League if you hover over an ability it’ll give you a blue circle around your character showing the range. A lot of times I use steal when I think I’m close enough but I’m not actually then it just puts it on a 5 second cd and ruins my sneak attack

D/D Elementalist takes no skill but is good at everything in the game.
Mesmer is unfun to play against and does everything better than thieves.
Hoping those two get gutted with nerfs

If you click on a target/have a target selected, there should appear a red line under each skill on your bar that is out of range

9 Guardians later…

With projectiles there is also terrain height to consider. If there is no red bar then you should be fine regardless, but sometimes I hit things with my ranger’s bow even when there is a red bar under the skill.

Also if you are closing the gap on the target of a projectile then sometimes if you shoot the projectile while you are out of range it will sometimes hit if you are in range by the time the projectile gets closer to your target. Or at least that’s what seems to happen for me. It could always be lag-related where my range indicator isn’t 100% in sync and doesn’t update as in range right away.
