Guild Wars 2

So i just got the new amulet with a utility slot and was wondering if I could temporarily add the versatile infusion for the +5ar, and then when i get enough laurels, replace it with the +20%gold infusion. Does the amulet retain it’s identity as having a utility slot, or will i no longer be able to infuse it with a utility?

The amulet will retain the identity of being a utility slotted amulet even after you upgrade it with any versatile or utility infusion.
