Hi.

In every MMO I play archer style character. In GW1 it was ranger, so here I started as ranger too (400+ h played now). The problem is… warrior and his rifle

I’m starting this topic, because I can’t really decide if I should reroll warrior or not.

Ranger has nice range on longbow, and his (1) skill is dedicated for long range fighting, but on the other hand, big part of his dmg comes from pet, so he isn’t focused on weapon as much, as I’d want.

Warrior has totally great F1 skill with rifle – I love it! He also has rifles, which I like more than bows (not much, but still). As disadvantage: only 1200 range.

What do you think? Which one fits archer/marksman/sniper archetype more?

Balance issues doesn’t matter. I’m looking for class for years, everything will change a lot in this matter.

Personally, I feel more like a Marksman on my Warrior, despite the smaller range. Not only does the rifle pack a bigger wallop, the animation are also much more interesting. Heck, even with the Longbow I feel more like a Marksman than I do on my Ranger, thanks to the cool skills.

Overall, when I play my Ranger, my weapons feel more like tools, while on my Warrior, my weapons feel like weapons.
